Laptops Pathetic Sony Vaio Support - Please advise and help

This is really sad to hear about Sony. They charge a bomb for their products, and provide bad service. Though this might sound dumb, can you refund the laptop. If they can give you full refund, give it back, get out of this mess. (#3 from post #20). Format the HDDs, send the product back, and a nice note along with it too. Stating your reason for so. Bad customer service does not qualify great product no matter which brand. Pathetic behavior by Sony.

Also regarding make-shift adapters, be absolutely sure IF you decide to use one. Please match the specification to be exact. Equipment is sensitive to voltages and expensive.

Is there any way to speak with Sony top bosses. Want to hear the reasons for not responding to ,my mails. Everytime I get an auto acknowledgment, but no one is answering/providing solutions to my concerns. Although the vendor is a great support as he is responding/following up with sony people and working out towards a solution.

Am confused. Have written 7th mail to sony.

Got the e-mail ids of sony's top bosses from my senior leadership. Mailed across the incident. Got a call from sony cc. Standby adapter provided immediately. Again got a call in evening from the service center, that my replacement adapter is here. Will pick it up on Monday. I wonder.... what disturbed their sleep. Still no reply from CC in writing. Only telephonic apologies and clarifications.

Still dont trust Sony.

^Good! Finally something worthwhile. :)

Meanwhile, one should refrain from suggesting Sony laptops to others over Dell and other probable alternatives.

Asus takes 30-90 days still everyone wants Asus ROG Stuff
Hypocrisy at it's best
Dell is fast only if Complete Cover warranty purchased

^When those effing Asus R&D team lands in India, we should probably tell them all these. I really hope Saiyan does it. When they were mentioned the link to the thread, they specifically demanded that the members stress on any worthwhile technical improvements.

Doh! :\

And why is that brother?
I work for dell and I know we provide next business day or even second business day coverage to even the remotest area of India,
You need only the nbd and NOT the CC warranty for that....

Know the product before you start making false allegations.....

Request you to post your woes in this thread. I ll mail the link of this thread to sony's leadership. They are completely unaware of what their CC is upto. Not replying mail is a culture.

That's so not true. All Dell laptops come with a limited in-home service warranty - NBD (next business day). I can personally vouch for that :)

i have posted already ....see 3rd post of this thread

Well although a bit off topic , i should say hp india has improved a lot in service quality , although the laptops themselves remain dubious. Here's my timeline, all of the following done completely free under extended warranty.
Display replaced 3 days
motherboard replaced 3 days
and concerning the current topic , my adapter was replaced immediately :) no questions asked. Within 10 minutes flat. .

Well sony service is awesome(atleast for me),From last 2 months fan of my laptop was making noise,I took it to sony service center and without asking any question and without even checking the problem he took my laptop and asked me to wait for 10 mins...After 10 mins he came out with my laptop and showed me my old fan and replaced it with new one infront of me...I was shocked and was very happy to see such fast service....
