Hello,
I want to buy something but the site/seller only accepts paypal. I don't have a paypal account. I need someone who can pay it on my behalf as i can deposit in his/her bank account.

I was reading on PayPal site that receiving money isn't possible in India. Isn't that the case?

Sorry cant help now... had like a 1000 dollars in the paypal account but have just ordered a cheque from them so no paypal balance now :/

Nothing like that. Only personal payments are not allowed, payment for goods / services is allowed and can be withdrawn to your bank without any issues.
