I wanted to buy from something from the USA and decided to do so using my paypal account but the problem is most people over there accept payments from a NON CREDIT CARD paypal account.

Now I want to know whats the difference between paying by a CREDIT CARD paypal a/c and a NON CC paypal account ?

Also how can we indians add money to our paypal accounts ? Can we send paypal a cheque or something so that they add the money to our account and using it we can pay without charging our credit cards ?

If anybody here has a NON CC account then please let me know ...I want to buy something and I ll pay you the cash here first and then u can transfer it for me to the account in the USA.

1. In the US (and a select few countries) you can tie your PayPal account to a banking account or credit card. This is required so you can fund your PayPal purchases.

2. You cannot add funds to your PayPal account from an Indian banking account, however, you can add a credit card to your PayPal account to purchase online.

3. Merchants or sellers are more concerned about your account being "confirmed" and "verified" than accepting credit card payments from PayPal. PayPal accounts take a while to become verified, so if the status of your account does not read "Indian-Verified", merchants will not accept payments from you just yet.

my account is verified but this is what one seller told me :

Non-credit card paypal comes from a bank account or funds already in Paypal account. A non-CC Paypal account is free, but it can't accept CC payments.

CC paypal comes from a credit card. It costs the receiver a fee to accept ALL payments once his account is upgraded. This is why most people don't upgrade their accounts, so they don't get charged a fee on everything.

when you upgrade ur account to paypal premium, it charges u a fee for every transaction, thats the reason why ppl dont accept it, coz in order to accept paypal cc payments, u have to be a premium paypal account holder

where is non cc paypal payments is just transfer of funds from one paypal account to another

Well if you have an HDFC bank account and a 'Gold debit card' then you can get verified in 15 minutes and then pay directly yourself to any paypal account.

Edit - adding to what rave said. You have to be in a country where you can tie up your regular bank account to the paypal account for the duty free transfer. Otherwise you can talk to the person you are paying and agree to sed him the extra 4-5% so that it covers the transaction charge.

hmmm now i get it.

it means if i hv to use my cc and pay via paypal i can only transfer funds to premium paypal accounts ???

now how do i transfer funds to a non premium account ? we indians cant use our banking accounts to fund our paypal account. any other way ?

well u can transfer the money + transaction cost to someone's premium paypal account and then use that to transfer cash to whoever u want to..

accha temme one last thing,

i give the user of a premium account cash and he transfers that much amount from his premium account in india to a non premium account in usa. will it work ?

transferring from premium cc account to non premium account is allowed na ?

and how much are the fees ? any idea ?
