I have the following config

AMD FX 6100
MSI 970A-G46
Corsair 8GB DDR3 single chip
Couple of Seagate SATA HDDs.

Initially I had installed Win7 32 bit and Win 8 and both were booting real fast. I am not a fan of WIn 8, so wanted Win 7, since the 32bit was recognising my 8GB ram as 2 GB, i installed Win 7 64bit as a clean install. Now it takes a very long long time to boot. The desktop comes up fast but takes a long time for the comp to be ready. I have not installed anything other than the mother board and other drivers and MSI Live update.

Please HELP !!!

Are you using Genuine windows OS ? just do a clean install then update windows , after restart install other drivers .

Check the event viewer and see if any processes are failing, or hardwares failing to initialize.

have you tried checking your startup list in msconfig?
this is also in consideration that all your hardware is working properly.
