  2. What is your existing hardware configuration (component name - component brand and model)
    • CPU - AMD FX-6300
    • Motherboard - Asus M5a97 R2.0
    • GPU - Nvidia GT 710
    • RAM - Kingston 4GB x 2 1866Mhz DDR3

    • GPU - Nvidia GT 710
    • (please mention the rest in above format)
  4. Which hardware component are you looking to buy (component name). If you have already decided on a configuration then please mention the (component brand and model) as well, this will help us in fine tuning your requirement.
    • Motherboard
    • CPU
    • RAM
    • Cabinet
    • CPU Cooler
    • PSU
  5. Is this going to be your final configuration or you would be adding/upgrading a component in near future. If yes then please mention when and which component
    • Yes, will upgrade the following within 12-16 months
    • GPU - 80series like card in terms of performance.
    • Monitor - 27 inch 1440p OLED
  6. Where will you buy this hardware? (Online/City/TE Dealer)
    • Mumbai (Lamington Road and nearby shops)
  7. What is your intended use for this PC/hardware
    • Coding/Software Development.
    • Browsing/Youtube/Reddit/TE.

    • Yes (in future but if it is not really needed for my usecase then no)
  12. Which operating system do you intend to use with this configuration?
    • Windows 11 64 bit

    • Also I have never built a PC from scratch before this but I want to do it, so I want to know can I build this one by myself?
    • What to do with the older PC that I have, there are issues with it, I do not feel like throwing it tbh.
    • Also please let me know if my budget won't let me be able to do some things like buy the hardware for ML/AI related stuff.
    • My Monitor only has a VGA and displayPort connectivity options, thought i'd write it down here.
    • Is a compact build possible in this budget?

Does your budget of 90-96k include the future gpu upgrade as well, or that will be separate?
I'm assuming it will be separate since you mentioned 80 series like performance, just wanted to confirm

Should be good for productivity for 90k:

If you are wondering, 9700X & 9900X are a waste of money (check some reviews). If you want an even better CPU, opt for 7950X under 50k.

R9 7900 is not the fastest CPU for gaming, but no issues at 1440p.

SSD - Maybe buy an open box 990 pro 2TB from one of the sellers in this forum
Thanks for this build @OMEGA44-XT I had some questions actually
  1. I want to know if there is any corsair PSU possible in this budget like the RMx or RMe series with 12VHPWR.
  2. For case is there any with 140mm front fans or does that not make much difference? but not from zebronics or galax.
  3. Can this build also handle some music production like FL studio, or lightroom and photoshop.
  4. For the display, can I connect my motherboard directly to a display Port on my monitor since my GPU does not have DP and monitor does not have HDMI.
  5. If I go for 7950x then will I have to go with a different cooler?
  6. Will the cooler you have suggested be enough for 7900x?

    Thanks,

Yes, easily

Yes, the cpu has an igpu

I don't think it would be enough for 7950x
It would also be a bit stretched for 7900x

There is Corsar RMx 850 Shift for around 1.5k more

  1. Yes, search online for whatever is available, will cost a few thousands more for sure. That MSI PSU is a tier A PSU.
  2. Check Lian Li 216, has 160mm fans up front. Won't make noticeable difference IMO.
  3. Why not? It will.
  4. Yes
  5. No, AG620 is enough. Just undervolt & put power limit on the CPU, say -20 offset & 150W limit. X class CPUs have a default tendency to auto OC to hit max possible freq while staying under 95C. It might draw like 50W to increase 50MHz, which is a waste of power.
  6. More than enough. I use an inferior AK400 with 9800X3D & X3D CPUs are known to run hotter than normal CPUs. After UV, my CPU draws like 125W & the cooler keeps it around 85C at 100% load. So a better cooler like AG620 can easily handle even 200W.
