Wow man so it is true ill get a quad then...:hap2:

I'm glad i took advice over here

Do you suggest i get the NZXT Alpha w/Transparent Window - 3000rs by spending a little more or Zebronics Antibiotic is better. Also people are saying i wait till Feb. what do you guys say?

stay away from the low end msi boards. get a gigabyte/asus.

get a e7200/7300.. unless you want a quad that is.. 8400 et al are not worth it.

well the waiting game never works out, rather buy what u can right now, as its pretty much the prime time to buy

and if u are going to spend that much money on a cabinet, might as well get the CM690

do u care to suggest mobo from asus or gigabyte:P

Some reviews of the msip45 neo-f from newegg which u feel is low end

Pros: Was able to do anything I had a desire to do. I am currently running an e8500 at 3.5 gigs and everything is running great.

Cons: none

Review from amazon

Pros: Very easy to overclock. Got my E5200 OC'd to 3.75 GHz (50%) on stock cooler without any problem. Very fast boot time, no unnecessary post/boot delay like many other motherboard. Installed a single drive SSD and boot Vista Ultimate from power switch on to usable internet in 35 sec.

Cons: No RAID

Pros: VALUED! STABLE, i bought the open box and it worked great;

Cons: quick start guide had like 50 languages which made it long

Other Thoughts: Works great for me with

intel 6850 3.0 ghz

1 x 2 gb cruciall ballistic

Visiontek ATI 4850

Is 8400 so bad ....isn't it the better one :S

Err
you mean E8400 > Q9300..
Nuts? :S
Q9300 will be slashed to $214 soon which turns out to be around 10Grands!
I'm not talking about the current price! It's already been mentioned in the brackets "After the price cut".

Get a qjuad for sure. Either Q9300 or 9400 or Phenom II. Get Gigabyte EP31 as it is cheap. For the card get Radeon HD 4850 without a shadow of doubt. RAM can be PI Black.

e8400 aint bad. its just not vfm. you can get similar perf by moderately ocing a e7200/7300. Imo its pointless to spend on the e8xxx lineup when the e7xxx lineup can provide similar performance with just a slight OC.

and frankly, i'm not convinced about the need for quads just yet. you could rather spend the saved money on a better gfx card.

and if you get a Intel Original Board, you can forget about ocing btw..
