CPU/Mobo PC is not booting up, PSU & CPU fan rotates & stops continously Please Help.........

Hey guyzzz I have Intel Mobo DG965RY with 2GB RAM running windows 7 ultimate...

my PC was running fine i've never had any problem with my PC, Windows 7 are running very fine on PC .... It's been 5 months since i've installed windows 7 no problems ....But from a day or 2 i've been facing a very strange problem... after working i shut down my windows properly but after several hours when i started my PC.. on pressing power button PSU fan & CPU fan started rotating but PC doesn't boot...PSU & CPU fan rotates & stops continously within 2-3 seconds interval but PC doesn't boots up.... after many tries it boots up suddenly and everything was running fine i've done my work with no problem and shuts down the windows properly and after some time whn i again switched on my PC i face the same problem..... PSU & CPU fan continously rotates & stops within 2-3 sec interval and PC does'nt boots up.....

My System Config.

Mobo Intel DG965RY
Processor Intel E4500 Core 2 Duo
RAM 2GB (1 + 1) Modules Transcend Jet RAM
2 IDE HDD (80GB + 40GB)
Logitec wired Keyboard + Mouse
PSU Zebronics 400W
Old IBM 19inch Monitor
NO Graphics Card

I thought that may be my PSU is defaulty but i am not shure...

What could possible be the problem ? ...... Please help.........

I've had the same problem before and I chagned my PSU and everything went fine. So, you need to try that.

Any beeps when the machine fails to boot?

Did you try to add / remove any hardware components just before this started happening? Or did you happen to clean the dust in the computer case superficially? cuz it could also be a case of loose connections.

-> check your pc with different PSU

Hey guyzz i've tried another PSU, now my PC is working fine but facing another problem i ran some windows updates and shut down the computer, and when i restarted my PC windows loading screen comes up and computer restarts and again goes to windows loading screen and before login screen comes up it restarts i tried to start PC in safe mode and last good known settings but fails to start.. PC is restarting again and again, I think that MBR is currupt...what do you say guyzzz.... how can i solve this problem...

Corsair make decent PSU's , Cx400 is more than enough for your rig/future updates.

Avoid cheap unknown brands. If u have the budget go for the Corsair CX400 ~ 2.7k. Else a FSP SAGAII 400w ~ 1.9k/ Gigabyte Superb 460 ~ 2k.

Check the cooling fan on the CPU.

Maybe time to change that and/or thermal paste is giving away.

earlier problem in psu and since computer was repeatedly going on and off, this would have corrupted windows , time to change PSU and fresh install of windows

I am facing the same issue. My PSU is coolermaster 600 W. I searched over the internet and found that this particular problem is specific to Intel series mobos. I myself have Intel DG33FB series and this mobo does hav this problem while booting sometimes. I m not very much sure bout ur mobo. in my case PSU is not the problem. it runs fine!! however lately i m facing d same booting issues as u r. fans run and computer restarts automatically and does screen goes blank.

My config is quad core q6600 Intel DG333FB 2 GB ram transcend Coolermaster 600 W

I had the same problem. I had changed my PSU but no avail. Solution I replaced motherboard.

You should detach power as well as data cord from your Hard disk, then power on your computer if it boots properly for some time it may suggest it is a problem of hard disk else motherboard.
