CPU/Mobo PC tripping the power in the room

So I was using my pc as normal and suddenly I heard a small blast and smell of smoke and it immediately tripped the power in the room.

I restored the power from circuit breaker but the pc is sure at fault as I tried other peripherals which are working fine.

I believe it is a mobo/psu issue

Motherboard does not seems to have any damage.
But I have called a technician

Can you explain which circuits?
As @bigb123 said you need to check for grounding. I was specifically referring to electrical circuit in your room where PC is plugged in.

Sometimes homes have proper grounding installed but circuit from a room might not be connected properly. I had that issue in my home. Only in one room, I'd feel current from laptop if I plugged it in to sockets. No such issue in other rooms. Asked an electrician to check and turns out circuit in that room was not done properly.

Also the technician suggested ups before,
would that be helpful?
If there is an existing issue in the grounding/ earthing at your place, it can also damage your ups circuit. But adding an ups to your pc will definitely protect your pc from electric surges.
