Would a gs600 suffice , also is 1090t worth the extra 1k over 1055t and are they both of any worth compared to a 955be??

^^ If you are primarily into gaming go for the AMD Phenom IIx4 965 [Deneb] OR Intel Core i3 2100 over the AMD Phenom IIx6 [Thuban's], else go for the 1090T / 1055T at your own discretion. Here is the relative performance of all three, on a set of benchmarks --

AnandTech - Bench - CPU -- Deneb vs. Thuban,

AnandTech - Bench - CPU -- Thuban vs. Thuban,

AnandTech - Bench - CPU -- Thuban vs. Sandy-Bridge [Core i3].

The GS 600 will do fine, but best in that range will be Seasonic S12II 620W ~ 4600/- -- a much better design with higher efficiency ratings.

Hope this helps, Sire.

Thanks alot for the help

so finally answer one last question

Which of the following rigs would play Crysi2, BF3 , GTA4 better :

Rig1 - i5 2400 , msi h67 e35 , corsair 4gb ddr3 , Gtx560 , Corsair VX450

Rig2 - AMD 1090t , Gigabyte GA MA785GM US2H , Kingston 2gb x3 ddr2 , Gtx 560ti , Corsair GS600 (I think seasonic products might be difficult to find in np)

Rig3 - AMD 955be , Gigabyte GA MA785GM US2H , Kingston 2gb x3 ddr2 , Ati 6950 , Corsair GS600

Okay --

Core i5 2400

Intel DH-67BL

Corsair XMS3 4GB DDR3 module

GTX 560

GS 600.

Much better this way, than trying to run it of a VX 450W and regretting.

That is not possible cause a gs600 wd add another 4k to tht rig and it is already 28k

I mentioned a VX450 there cause i own it as i mentioned earlier

^^ Look Sire, we respect you have a budget, but then the responsibility of any damages is solely your prerogative as you plan to run the GTX 560 of it, I mean it is not impossible [the VX 450W is a great piece of hardware with TE members using a HD 5850 / 6870 on it], but I will not recommend this set-up as you will not have any breathing space to add any other hardware down the line.

What about the other two configs they have a better gpu??

Well in that case my next upgrade would be a psu only but that could take 6mnths to a year

^^ No point going for AMD RIG's stick with Intel and upgrade the SMPS ASAP.

Hope this helped, Sire. Cheers!!

K I have decide to end all this confusion and decided not to take a risk so ill invest the money i hav savedfor an ipod in my pc anyways i already have my S2 with 32gb memory for it

So now suggest a Cpu + mobo + ram + gpu + psu under 37-38k

38K is more then enough to pull out everything in games!!

Processor:-i3-2100 (6K)

Mobo:-Any H67(6K)

Ram:-Corsair 4GB DDR3(1.4K)

PSU-650W(5-6K)---->Corsair or Seasonic

GPU:-6950(can be flashed with bios upgrade to make a 6970)

Why not

i5 2400 - 10k

MsiH67 E35 - 4.5k

4GB DDR3 - 1.5k

GS600 - 4k

Ati 6950 2GB - 16k

Total - 36k

Any additions to this ??

Sire, seriously no need for OP to get a dual-core and a HD 6950, the Core i5 2400 and nVidia GTX 560 / AMD HD 6950 1GB, is a contemporary and more future proof solution, quad-core vs. dual-core.

Plus only the Intel DH-67BL ~ 5800/- motherboard is worth investing in OP's case, has all the features he needs [USB 3.0 (rear ports only), SATA III in a mATX package + most important comes with a full complement of 4 DIMM slots].

Instead of Corsair ValueRAM OP should get XMS3 1600MHz 4GB module(s) ~ 1650/- due to this reason, AnandTech - Sandy Bridge Memory Scaling: Choosing the Best DDR3, the 1600 MHz memory modules are the most value for money.

I think we confirmed what we pretty much knew all along: Sandy Bridge's improved memory controller has all but eliminated the need for extreme memory bandwidth, at least for this architecture. It's only when you get down to DDR3-1333 that you see a minor performance penalty. The sweet spot appears to be at DDR3-1600, where you will see a minor performance increase over DDR3-1333 with only a slight increase in cost. The performance increase gained by going up to DDR3-1866 or DDR3-2133 isn't nearly as pronounced.

hmmm gtx 560ti is best bang-for buck it overlocks very easily and can max out every game the problem with AMD vs Nvidia is Nvidia loses itz performance in higher resolutions while AMD doesnt perform as good as Nvidia in Lower resolutions!! Look Here

What is the price of a HD6950 1gb ??

Also is 4gb ram enough or should i get two of those??

4Gb of Ram is enough!! u can upgrade to 8Gb anytime!!!

At the moment i m gonna use the pc on a 23" at 1080p and maybe on 32" in 6months or so

the 560ti is available for 14.5k at smc and the 6950 2gb is for 16k which is better , i m not looking to overclock

well at 1920*1080 reslolution both will perform quite same!! Just a difference of 5-8fps.U can check Here

To say seriously if u tend to move to higher resolutions in future get 6950(2GB edition) for future Proofing as AMD GFX cards seem to maintain their Performance at higher resolution whereas Nvidia cards become weak at resolutions over 1920*1200,Well if u want to gain some more Performance in Gaming,U need to overclock.

If you have the budget then get hd 6950 2gb gpu which unlocks to 6970,this will beat gtx560ti by bigger margin and you will get better performance because of 2gb memory and 35-40 fps on higher settings in every game mostly at full hd reso.

Is it sureshot thing that a 6950 2gb unlocks to a 6970 ??

How long will this last till something is needed to be upgraded ??
