Hi there,

I have a Mercury mobo which has 3 pci slots on it......they are 32 bit(5v)
slots.........i want to improve my pc gaming compatibility but could not find any graphics card that would fit in my pci slots.......they are not pci express slots but only normal 32 bit pci slots......could anyone please suggest any cards for my pc ?????.......thanx in advance........... :)

But the question is are they worth it? It seems like you will be better off upgrading the mobo + cpu + RAM... the newer integrated graphics should work faster then a FX 5500..

Yes guys im thinking of upgrading my system......but just waiting for the prices to go down a bit........

Thanx for your help anyways.......

That's news to me. I thought that the onboard graphics were the most pathetic.

The FX 5500 is a 6-7 year old tech, infact the new onboards would be faster to a factor of 3-4 times.

Didnt you see the budget , PC hardware prices are going to increase this year !!

The way I figure it, you're probably not getting much gaming anyways.

So get a motherboard with integrated graphics, new processor and some RAM (say 1 GB) ... catch up on all the games you've lost in the last...ummm...4-5 years...and upgrade slowly...more RAM > a decent graphics card.

dude u won't get any performance in gaming by just a pci card which is 6 yrs old.... ur best option is to upgrade the whole comp...
