Amazing movie it is. I recalled the http://www.techenclave.com/general-talk/how-many-hours-power-cut-your-172749.html thread when I was half-way through the movie.

I honestly do not want to spoil the movie for you guys but do give it a watch. It is related to the suicides attempted by farmers, how it affects a nation when the issue circles around one fellow who claims he would attempt a suicide, the media's effects and particularly when elections are round the corner. And in a humorous way! :)

Aamir Khan Productions and Anusha Rizvi's directorial debut. The cast is completely new AFAIK and that old lady in the bed portrayed a surprisingly realistic role! They have not censored the dialogs and expletives such as MC, BC, GF etc have been used extensively throughout the movie! :ashamed:

If someone has already given it a watch, do share your thoughts. :)

PS: Mods, please do not merge this thread with the other one. Let us hear the views of the members who has already watched it.
 
I found it decent , not as good as I had expected , the focus seemed more on the role of the the media and not the farmer suicides and the role of the government per se .

I am waiting for the pDVDs to be out. For some reason, the pirates are taking long on this movie. The other release of the week, Help, is already available.

Anyways, I am still planning to go and watch the movie, not getting time for it :( I knew, even though the movie is LOW BUDGET, it'll have impact on the viewers.
 
^ Can't let my hard earned money go waste too dude :) If I take pity on every film that is churned out every week, I will go bankrupt very soon :D I would rather wait :P

Shame really.

It seems to be an original with virtually no star cast. This one deserves to be seen on the hall.

Well, I follow a different ideology :) The multiplex ticket prices demand a star's presence. If it was a ticket worth 20 bucks, then I wouldn't have minded spending. But for 250 bucks, ek star to maangta :P
 
I thought it was very good. Great performances by a lot of them. I especially loved the saas bahu banter :) It had all of the crowd in splits ..lol

And was that chief reporter for iTV news - was she taking after Barkha Dutt of NDTV?

Or even better the television premiere.
 
The Indians will ruin the rankings of imdb now. :P

Just wait till they wake up to the fact that Indians can vote for the Indian movies on imdb and make their movies' presence felt.
 
That Malik chica was related to Barker Dutt. The relationship between the vernacular and English media was portrayed very well.
