what am i missing on that comic name Barker ?? Dont hv a clue how that name is assigned to Barkha Dutt.

the film budget is of 10 Crores.
the Television rights Sold before hand for 14 Crores.
so it will be out on television before you can IMAGINE
 
Hit movies pirated stuff are not worth watching and also it takes longer....

See once dvd of 3 Idiots out now they releasing on every another channel

Friend told for every screening single time the movie charges approximate 5 crore.Hence once on imagine than it goes to star than sony and so on

And thats not all.Even future screening are paid if u have proper royalty model

Thats the reason on special occasion only channel screen Sholay.The movie has done 1500 crore rupee business in 35 years

Anyways i dont see any big banner nice movie.I dont think dabang or Kjo production can hit peepli.

SO we have to wait longer for dvds

Dude, if U are so cautious about Rs 250, why dont U go to morning show...

I go morning show for Rs 50 (sometime 60 in other plex)
 
I think I have never spent 250/- for a documentary before peepli live.
practical movie but not an entertainer at all.

better to go for morning shows.
 
MNS disturbance in thane theaters because its a north Indian movie

what a shame, even on the independence day we all are not Indians but Indians divided in 28 states
 
^ Huh? I was reading it was based in some 'Mukhya' Pradesh. Which part of India is that in! :O They just need a reason to be in the news.
 
going to the movie today i dont know hindi that much but good movies dont need language to be understood i learnt that by watching tzp
 
^^^Well you won't be able to enjoy movie fully then...the dialogs are not in Hindi completely...but are in rural language...and they are indeed entertaining :).

I liked the movie...showed the ground reality...and I think it was more based on role of media then suicide of farmers...

You are mistaken dude.
The protest was because these mplex refused screening of marathi movies. because they prefer screening flop movies like aisha. Technically speaking by law they were supposed to screen regional movies which they were not adhering to.
Also there are similar laws in k'taka and southern states but the media (northern) just broadcasts what suits them.
See the news on regional channels and you would get a whole different view of the local news.
 
Will be goin for it in this week forsure ... have heard lots of good reviews and now what all u people say are worth for giving it a try :)

The actual state name is Madhya Pradesh where the movie is shot, to avoid any controversy, they used Mukhya Pradesh.

the movie may have been INSPIRED by ace in the hole it is not copied frame to frame like other b shitty movies

and yeah i saw the movie today it was awesome The role of media and the plight of the farmers ,the politicians have been portrayed brilliantly

seriously amid smell hollywood fart movies this one comes as breather

Anusha Rizvi debutant effort is brilliant the casting,the cimnematography,bgm were all spot on

i dont know the language much except for few basic words but i still understood the essence of the movie

when i went to the movie today the theatre was almost empty it was kinda sad :(
