Pen drive software not working properly

I am using Windows 7 and Kingston 2 GB pendrive. Sometime back when i used to insert the pen drive, it asked me what to do with the data of pen drive but from some days, it is not coming.

Pls help me to set it to its default settings.

Secondly, pls also tell me how to see hidden files in Win 7 ultimate.

Regards
Rohit

And what about this?

^^ You sure about what you have written..? His problem, I believe, is that he is not getting the autoplay options on inserting the pen drive.

@OP: Click on Start >> Type "autoplay" in the search box and click on the topmost result >> Check the box reading "Use autoplay for all media and devices". That should bring back the autoplay feature you are missing. Although, as a word of caution, I would say that it is better if you leave the autoplay disabled, so that you can prevent viruses from being transferred to your PC automatically on inserting the pen drive.

^^ Yup! And I think that you are not getting the autoplay options on inserting the pen drive. Correct? or are you referring to some other option? Please state clearly.. If you are looking for the autoplay option then to enable that option:-

i think the autoplay option is active, but he might have selected to open folder directly. This may solve your problem:
Open control panel / autoplay, there should be some option to play with. Tweak those. Currently i am on on friends lappy running XP, so can`t give you a detail answer.

you want this window to 'open' when you insert the pendrive?

then, as others have already instructed you, type autoplay in "start menu"-> search box.

& click on Reset to Defaults in Autoplay window.
