PES 2008 PC demo out !!

hopefully it works fine on a 6800gt as i am using that card currently & dont feel like upgrading.
 
There are reports of the v-sync option causing the game to 'speed up'. Maybe that's what people are experiencing?

Would test it out myself, but I don't like to install game demos...
 
well fast gameplay was the first thing i noticed when i saw the gameplay video on the net and also i noticed that the players seemed small in size ( bit similar to FIFA ). and most of my friends didn't agree with me. but personally i got the same impression by the gameplay video i saw. and whats more i also heard that FIFA has changed its button config and have made it similar to PES ( player change with Q and pressure 1 with S ). hope both of them aren't going to become similar that would be sad. because i really love to play PES and FIFA just because they are different.
 
^ You can always change the button configuration settings in the options menu :p. And FIFA still has light years to catch up to PES.

Now, all those people haggling about FIFA Graphix can check out PES 2008, and can see for themselves which game is graphically better (was better in gameplay since PES 3 already :D).

Well, to be fair, FIFA 08 for the PC is based on the old FIFA engine.

Also, there is a slight gameplay speed change depending on length of match, camera angle used. The Demo is said to have 5 min matches and only one fixed camera angle. (That is why I think the FIFA demos have only one 5 minute half instead of a full 5 minute game.) So maybe it'll be different when we start playing the normal 10min matches with the normal camera view.

That is exactly the reason why I find it amusing when people say that FIFA Graphics are better, when I beleive that theyve been using the same engine since 2003/2004. And even PES Demo doesnt have camera angle change options and all, and it has no commentary.

one thing I'd like to see an improvement in PES 2008 is the commentary, hopefully theyve found someone better than Trevor Brooking and Peter Brackley :(.

i have always found pes gfx better than fifa. the player always look alike & more proportionate in pes where as fifa its all over the place & looks very cartoony.

How to Install :
a-Open AFS Explorer

Get it from here : Pro Evolution Soccer 5 : Personal Computer : New AFS Explorer and WE Picture Decoder

b-Go to menu FILE - IMPORT AFS File
c-In the dialog window go to last combo box and select ALL FILES
d-From your PES 2008 img folder open cv_1.img (backup it first)
e-Answer NO to questions and the file will be opened.
f-Now right click on unnamed_7.bin and select import and then import unnamed_7.bin included in this rar.

well dude don't wanna get involved in this but would like to mention one thing.. if you change the configration it would lead to change in other controls as well. like if i change the player change option from Q to S then i won't be able to use pressure with S and then i will have to configure it to something else and then if i change pressure to D then i won't be able to shoot :p. and basic FIFA controls used to be D= shoot/ pressure, S= pass/ switch. so i hope now you understand what i meant.
we won't be able to use the same key configration this year in FIFA. will have to get used to something else :)
 
Just tried out FIFA 2008, got the full version off TorrentLeech, no major difference from the previous versions as you'd expect, however there's a new gameplay mode called the "Be a Pro mode" where you can pick a single player in a team and control that player.

Can't wait for PES 2008 though, once again it'll shit all over FIFA.

lol this new so called fifa feature has been in pes for ages. also no1 expects any changes from fifa.
 
possible for anyone to write a dvd & courier it to me? my demo was corrupt. cant be bothered to dload again at such slow speeds. will send a blank dvd in exchange or can write some data on it if anyone needs something.

no prob.

also about the tiring thing. it has always been there in pes. players tire fast as in loose stamina faster when their form is low hence they run slower.
