PES 2008 PC demo out !!

AND the gameplay is not how it happens in real life..

Dont tell me that defenders like Morreti or even Andy O'Brien use stepovers or other dribbling tricks when they are under pressure from Forwards.

The game seems to have taken a step backwards IMO.

And did you install the patch that Konami released??

Or do you have any option file for EPL Kits and stuff??Linky maybe??

kits etc are there on gamingaccess but i havent installed them.

not installed patch also as you know what version of the game i am using.

2ndly i have never seen the comp use stepover or tricks against me except for strikers. seems like you are really bad at the game. lol. just kidding. its a game dude if you press l1 any1 can do stepovers. so get over that. as i said the gameplay is close to how it happens in real life with sliding tackles etc, they are really hard to get right in real life also. plus the keeper spilling is also very real now as in pes6 the keeper never spilled the ball in play but always behind the goal for a corner. so i really like this aspect too.

I can post a video of the same as proof...We are living in 2007 dammit!!Where Ben Thatcher's concussion causing tacke on Pedro Mendes goes unpunished dammit..and here when I tackle the player AND get the whole friggin ball, am penalised!! WTF!!!

Thirdly, Konami bigots need to learn to pick teams in Master League, they expect me to take my team of Dodo, Castolo and Minanda and play against Besiktas,FC Copenhagen and Helsingborgs in my first season of Master League..are you on dope Seabass??WTF!!!!!!!!!!!

The Graphics are top notch but am friggin disappointed by the game play.

Screw you Seabass and Konami.

The game has a few faults, but I feel the ones you stated are not any of them. I use the through ball a lot too, and I have been able to use it well in the new game. Even the lofted through along the wings works very well. The through passing has actually been made much better in this game.

Also, I love the new tackling system. My friend who usually hacks at people cannot do it any more :hap2: . I personally don't feel it's very difficult, I have gotten in a fair number of tackles in the D as well. (I play as madrid, last gasp defending is our forte. :D)

Thirdly, if you find playing with the defaut players a bit difficult, play with the proper players in your team. There is that option when you start your ML. The salaries may be a bit higher, but it should be less challenging.

Also team vision works. I had found a easy way to score early on, and now a days, they have shut down that avenue.

What I hate though is how my defenders part like the bloody sea in front of moses. I also hate the number of spills the keeper makes. And I hate that *#%@ Messi who runs through my defence.( But that could just be a carry over from real life. :p )

Dont mind me saying that, but I'll explain why.

Most of the n00bs play with strong teams at home, whereas I prefer to play Away with a weaker team, like Spurs vs Barca.

As for Master League, Do you even play that?

I mean, the real joy of ML lies in taking your team of Dodos, Steins and Iougas to Champions League Glory, what good is managing real madrid (with already a strengthened squad) and winning CL with them?? The essence of ML is to BUILD your team (choose ur players for transfers on a budget), not to manage a team which has won European cups for X number of years.

Try playing away (instead of home where the refs are much stricter, I am not praising myself but I have almost perfected sliding tackle in PES 6) and try playing with a relatively weaker team and then come back and post ur views. And try to Play ML with PES or WE United and then tell me how you fared against Besiktas (Am assuming ur atleast playing at the regular level, I play at Top Player/5 level).

Sorry if I sounded harsh (that wasnt my intention) but people need to play ML with PES/WE United (or any other weak team) which is the best part of PES instead of winning exhibition matches with Real Madrid again and again and saying that the game rocks.

^^ game still rox. i have been playing the way you say since ps1 days, add to that i always play full low form in exhibition against pc home @ full form. so no need to be rude to him just cause you cant play pes 2008. hehe

what he said was correct. every1 plays different. just cause you play 1 way doesnt mean its the right way. he can still play with madrid home exhibition matches & still own you, me or any1 else.
 
^ :p Stormie, I said I am sorry if I sounded rude already in my thread.

And the thing is that...the gameplay has changed for the worse..maybe you dont experiment or something while playing (maybe you play long balls or $tuff like that :p) but the thing is passing has deteriorated (you need to press the button forever to have some pace on the pass) and so has the tackling.

Am not going to argue with you, I maintain my stance that the game has deteriorated..I went back to playing PES 6 after playing PES 2008 and felt so releived,LOL. This is the worst PES by far and I can find similar views wherever I look on the internet forums.

Views regarding PES were never so divided.
 
no LAN patch again in PES 2008 :mad:
gameplay good enough... but i think AI of FIFA 08 keeper is way better ( can call unrealistic :p ) but UI of PES 08 rox

I apologise for being the typical 'INDIAN' player and not playing the game as it was supposed to be played. I am sure you know how I should play the game for my better enjoyment. I shall henceforth defer to your better 'knowledge' of how the game is supposed to be played.

I suggested you play with the normal players only because you were whining about how you found the game more difficult than you expected. I thought you may not have known of that option, because I of course did not know of your intricate history and understanding of the game. (On second thought, maybe I should have divined that, hmm.) My only difference of opinion was about the through balls/defence which I personally felt was an improvement over last year. Yes, I only play the leagues/exhibitions with real madrid at top player because it is what I like to do. And no, I don't keep winnning and winning, I am not particularly good at the game, my track records presently shows 40%-10%-50% (Wind-Draw-Loss) with many more goals conceded than scored.

I also have to add that blowing your top and acting patronising/condescending because someone else does not see things as you do is not something that I appreciate, your token apology notwithstanding.
 
whatever people say the game is huge improvement in compared to pes6 in every aspect, all the people dont see it atm but they will with time.

same thing happens every year since i was playing pes on ps1. when a new winning 11 or pes came people hated it for 1-2 months whining about how they cant adapt n get used to playing good in it like they used to.
