If you check my previous post, u'll see that I have already stated that I have no issues with people being who/what they are...

And I never started this thread as a Debate; the thread was meant for information only... People here are foolish enough to debate over issues they don't know/care about...

In fact, I am not promoting/enforcing vegetarianism here. I am just against cruelty towards animals.

Where exactly have I tried to enforce my views on anyone else?? I think you seriously misunderstood me...



I repeat, I have no issues with anyone being a supporter of PETA or not. I don't even care whether anyone here is a vegetarian or not. :|

But in case someone is against animal cruelty or is a vegan, PETA is giving away free stickers that one can flaunt. I have already decided a place on my bedroom wall for the stickers!!
I can bet that many people who are calling names and playing cute on this thread have actually signed up only to get the FREE stickers!! :@

Ummm i do strongly oppose animal 'cruelty', but i won't qualify for joining PETA as i eat 18 Eggs and 1.6 Pounds of chicken daily :(

Hmmm.... You are partially correct in your assumption...

Let me put it this way:

If I happen to be at an accident site, I'll help the injured people. And I have done this before.

If I happen to be at an accident site and the accident involves both humans and animals, I'll surely help the injured animals first.

I don't feel like justifying my prospective actions here right now but it should suffice to say that I rate animals above humans for numerous reasons and experiences.

Simplest reason being that animals are almost always innocent but humans ( excluding infants) can never be innocent.

It's not that I don't bother about humans at all... But I surely know who deserves what... :|

@op:

stickers + shipping = wood + fossil fuel + glue; all things that increase your carbon footprint and I'll bet these will be even less effective in promoting awareness than the photo on cigarette packets.

Of course its not as if PETA was ever really clued into the irony of their actions.

I am a non-vegetarian but I don't disrespect/torture animals, I like animals, but what PETA does is pure hypocrisy at best.
 
I am Lacto-vegetarian. But, still I feel there is nothing wrong in humans eating other animals.

Well, as per our ecosystem, various living beings have different feeding habits. An Omnivore eat's both plant's and animals. Humans are omnivore.

You can find various feeding habits here( Yes, we learnt about it in 8th grade science): List of feeding behaviours - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

It's natural for human's to eat other animals and it is essential for our ecosystem. If every Human being became vegetarian, then it will affect ecological balance.( Haven't anybody heard of Kangaroo killing in Australia? Huge number of Kangaroo's have became headache for farmers in Australia.)

Everybody happy now? :P
 
I like PETA ads - for pure visual eye candy! I enjoy watching them while having chicken wings!
