I will have to now sell my 150 cc Unicorn and buy some <100 cc moped like Luna and that too with pedals so i can save on fuel even more when i feel the need to cycle. :|
i also have a 100cc Splendor 2001 model, the second version which came with the AIR CLEANER, i easily get 65+

Damn long queues on the petrol bunks here in Delhi and I can see people literally fighting to get their car ahead in the queue :P

Pune petrol pump owners are a$$holes. They put "Petrol over" board now only so they can sell the fuel at higher price tomorrow. :@:@

No guys. Wasnt sarcastic earlier.

1) I dont want my hard earned tax money subsidising petrol/diesel for a bunch of turds who are rich enough to own cars. This is the true price of fuel - pay for it or find an alternative. Quoting someone on tbhp

Our sense of entitlement is far more than what we are willing to work/pay for
2) I hope this forces more people to use public transport. Smart people will understand this price rise is a cue to reduce their own consumption and using public transport is amongst the easiest way. Exactly like how everyone starts reducing electricity usage when there are rolling blackouts, instead of buying a UPS like a retard (hoard as much as possible when supply is there).
3) I hope at least a few fat guys lose some weight by walking the 1.1km to office instead of driving their car.

EXACTLY! not like they can run on that petrol until the next hike

screw the guy who says "thank god its Rs5"

dude, it shouldnt even be Rs. 0.05. what the hell man. I mean if half of the taxpayers money didnt go into the stupid Babu's charity, we sure would have progressed 10 times more.

they should hike prices of road tax on new cars instead. or go a step further and make cars out of reach of middle class people like before maruti came. should be enough to control influx of vehicles and emission and consumption of petrol.

I agree with you here, subsidy has to come to an end. But no govt has the balls to do it, coz the country will come to a halt with strikes...and even if they succeed, come the next elections and they'll be wiped out.
