CPU/Mobo phenom 545 or 550be or athlon 240

A friend of mine is upgrading his proccy in a day or two.He's a big noob and probably will never oc.Is the 545 worth the extra 1.5k than the 240?

Yeah, the X2 550 is worth the extra money. Because of its huge 6MB L3 cache, it gives much better performance in gaming.

my friend won't be oc'ing it.so,no need for a BE proccessor right?and also the diff b/w 545 and 550be is just 0.1ghz. and what is the exact price of 550be in hyd?I saw the price at deltapage and it was about 4.8k.Is it the same at hyderabad?

No idea of 550BE Be but street price will be <4.8k
