From various benchmarks, it looks like the core i5 750 continues to be better for gaming.

Thuban doesn't seem to become a gamer's CPU in the near future.

Not unless the games become well threaded atleast, but I feel it really doesnt make sense for going the i5750 way now atleast, the higher range Bloomfield atleast OC well..

^^ That game is badly coded to be considered as a benchmark. I wouldnt give those numbers any importance..

I think it's better to consider 785G/790GX boards and then add a USB3/SATA 3 PCIE card, provided the hefty prices of 890 GX boards.

I'm more impressed with X6's prices, not with the performance. AMD still need to do serious home work. :)

Its already available in SP Road, Bangalore with Aasirwad Computers :)

Prices seems to be ok with 1055T @ arnd 9750+VAT and 1090T @ arnd 13800+VAT :)

But aren't PhenomII X6 based on K10.5 arch while bit-tech.net reports its based on K10,which is tweaked version of K10?

Mail in rebates, should be taken with a pinch of salt, friends living in States say that conversion ratio is round about 50%, and the time lag is great too..

hmm nobody has mentioned about the x4s that unlock i.e. the 940T and the 960T , any word on pricing on that

Supra ?

940T and 960T will be released in June AFAIK. Expect the 960T to be around 160-170$ so wont make much sense! The 940T is expected at 139-149 levels

ohh man June , thats still far far away . Lets see what comes my way ,ill wait for a bit though i think it should be a couple of weeks for the em to release

^^nope, it fits in am2+/am3 motherboards, so it's got to support DDR2.

I'm curious as to the whether turbo core will work on older motherboards, and what the power consumption figures will look like.
