Should I go ahead and buy it for 8.3k from a Priority Dealer or should I wait for 12 more days to come to the local resellers? Would there be a price drop? If there is a likely price drop, I guess I'll wait it out or I'll simply go and buy it today and going by the Priority Dealer guy, he's giving away a gift, which I assume is a 1 gig memory card :P What do you guys suggest?

Also, how much will a 8GB microSD card cost? I'm currently using a Sandisk 1GB on my 3110C and have no issues what so ever. Do you guys suggest any particular brand for the 5230?

Completely depends on you brother.. If you're in hurry to buy go for PD .. if not wait .. There will definately be a price drop .. because of the much created hipe .. the prices will stay a lil high in the beginning .. Well, An 8 GB card would cost around 800-1000 .. not more than that .. regarding brands .. anyone from SANDISK, KINGSTON or TRANSCEND .. because these are known brands and have good reputation in this segment .. So, go for it ..!!:hap2:

Hi,well if u want to buy a phone for 8k then i would suggest u to buy nokia 7610supernova.it have a 3.2mp cam with flash.4gb expandable memory, gprs, edge nd have different colours.and it would b within your range.

I say since you like the QWERTY Keyboard go take a look at the CorbyTXT also if you want only touch screen Samsung Star wifi should be close to the price you want.

Ah! I had already decided on my choice and had done some homework and finally went and bought the Nokia 5230 Black color for Rs. 8250 from a NPD. Somehow, I feel that I should have bought it a bit earlier because the guy who had agreed to give it to me for Rs.8300 was not around and he had even agreed to gimme some kind of gift with it. Today he wasn't there and the guy at the counter refused to budge and didn't gimme any goodies :( Well, the price is just right, even from an NPD. What say guys? ;)

Was toying around till now and I find it pretty good. I'm still not that good with touchscreens and takes time to get used to. I finding texting to be far more easier in the normal keypad against the QWERTY 'coz my thumbs tend to tap the wrong keys though I've got slim fingers :P The accelerometer is sensitive, but I expected the tilt of the screen to happen just like what I've seen in the Iphone(Damn Apple for setting such high standards in UI!! :D :P) Also, there seems to be some bugs which needs to be fixed. One of them being, while trying to select a ringtone, if a message comes in, the preview is cancelled and tends to 'hang' the phone for few seconds. Only the Cancel option worked.

The phone is slightly slower than expected(I guess I find it that way after using S40 and the normal black and white phones for a long time :P :P) I'll post a S60 newbie review about this great VFM phone later!! :D :P
