Hi,

I am looking to buy a new phone, any release in the nearest (2-3 months) future is also an option

Phone's i've use.

Nokia's << Tired of the Symbian versions, they all look the same to me

3310
6600
6250
N73, N79, N95
N97 & N97 Mini
N900
E71, E72,E75,E52
N8 < gave back within 1 day

Motorola < Early phone's never tried motorola's any later & Milestone's are hard to find & even harder to resell.
V3, V3i, Rokr E6

Samsung < Hated the BadaOS Limitations, & Spica was slow in multi tasking

Wave, Spica

HTC < Low Sound Quality in all these models

Hero, Diamond, Nexus One, Desire

BlackBerry < If possible i want my new phone to have sound quality similar or better than these models... I really loved bb for this reason, i can hear my phone ringing while driving my bike.

Bold 9000, 9700, Curve 8250

Sony Ericsson < Loved the early Walkman series, hated the W995 my Xperia's Camera is much better in comparison.

W550i, K750i, W800i, M600, W995i, Xperia X1, Xperia X10

My recent 3 phones were Desire, Xperia x10 & Currently using BB 9700

My requirements

Big screen = minimum 3.2 inches would like 4 & above ( I am not a small/thin guy so big phones suite me)
Colors = 16Million
Processor = with the money i am paying it should be 1GHz Snapdragon
RAM = The more the better
Inbuilt storage = even 512MB would do.
Touch/Type = Preferred both.
Sound/ Speaker = As LOUD as possible.. unlike the recent versions of HTC's & even Xperia
Price range = 20k - 35k
Please don't suggest Iphone's I don't hate them but i am not into them & no tablets.

Get the Nokia 1280 and use it for a few days.

Once u are over the phone phobia, get any decent phone and u'll like it.

I am not joking... I have done this before when I was too tired of using high end smartphones. I had chucked away my Milestone and started using the Nokia 1280 as I didn't feel like buying any other phone as I had used them all....

After I got bored with the 1280, I picked up the Desire... I still use it. But trust me, I really felt good with the 1280 for a few days. U too will love the simplicity.

:D

How about giving up phones all together for some time? That should help.

Jokes apart, if you have tried every OS and phone type, then you are the best judge of what you want. Your decision should be based on what exact features you want from your phone. Whether it is audio, video, games, apps, web browsing or anything else - you are the best judge.

May I suggest a WP7 based handset, since you don't seem to have tried that. Also have you actually tried iOS and iPhones? Despite what people say about Apple and their closed ecosystem, they are not the top selling handset manufacturers for nothing.

I couldn't stop laughing for a few minutes.... but on a serious note Nokia 1280 wont work as i have emails & things that i check on my phones which cannot be done on Nokia 1280 < this is the reason i use Blackberry's after using Android phones, I feel like i am using some Low end Phone, as there isn't much customization you can do with BB's like you can on Android.

I know what i want & i've mentioned it in the 1st post my requirements.

If/When I am going to change my phone it should be both Touch & Type, 1GHz Processor, 16Million Colors TFT/AMOLED, & speaker quality should be better than Blackberry phones.

Windows Mobile 7 > True! I haven't really tried it, Any Ideas which phones are available with this OS & their price. What are the limitation of WM7?

Actually i never go by what people say, i never have.. but i do take in their opinion's. I didn't go with Apple's because of its slow processor speed (on Paper), it only has 600MHz Process (3GS) never actually saw it perform.

^ IINM, the only WP7 phones available in India are from HTC, one is the Mozart, and the other is the HD7. The Mozart is a great phone for someone not used to the Androids and iOS of the world. I loved the UI in particularly and the way they follow a people approach vs an app aproach. That said, it does have some basic limitations which MS claims will be addressed 'soon'. UX wise, I think its on par with the iOS. It does score low on the apps front being a new (re)entrant to this area.

Believe me, 3GS on iOS 4.2.1 is blazing fast. And the iPhone 4 has the Apple 1GHz A4 which makes its performance at par and possibly better than most Snapdragon based handsets in the market today.

edit: hell: Just saw you have used N900 too... well there are always chinese phones left

Hmm seeing your requirements, I think only one OS you have'nt tried till now is maemo/meego

N900

+ "Loud" loud speakers> so louder ringtones while u are on bike ;)

+ great multitasking

+ more apps then bada,But obviously less then iOS or googleOS

+The proccy is same as Droid X , Just underclocked, But can be customized I think

The only other option I can think Is chinese phones with those "yamaha" speakers, he he

Fanboy alert.

Yea seriously I recently used a friends 3GS to browse on (WiFi mode) pretty crap compared to the new android phones on the market today.

Big fan of iOS devices here. They suit the masses and they are not world renowned for nothing. But that doesn't mean I haven't played around with other handsets. Tried both android and WP7 and Android is definitely the future of mobile OS. Till now it was iOS leading the way and Android catching up, but that is already changing and soon iOS will have to play catch up.

Its a nice phone but the battery is a real let down, also the Nexus S feels smoother to use and more polished. Bad points for the Nexus S however is that its camera and video recording is not as good as say an iphone 4 or Desire HD.

^^ I too was looking forward to use the Torch but i found the differences between Bold 2 9700 & Torch not worth changing for.. its almost double RAM + 16Million colors & the rest is the same as bold 2 9700..

@ Battery's of all high end Andriod phones suck, with Wi-fi use and a few messaging my Andriod Xperia x10 lasted only for 8 hours, which really sucked. It was only better when i bought a Rs. 4000/- 3600 mah battery for it that it started lasting for more than 3 days.

@ a few of my friends that have used Iphones & now have switched to andriod say that there is network problem in the latest iphone 4's, ANy True?

It's not at all true.

iphone4 has tonnes of antenna issues this is a well known fact, that could have been what they experienced. But for the OP I gotta say if you are tired of whatever is on offer now then wait a bit a check out the Motorola Atrix 4g. Its gonna be a beast of a phone. Motorola ATRIX 4G Hands-on - Phone Arena

+1 Zloyd - Atrix is a fantastic phone. If you're looking for something cheaper - might also want to consider the Meizu M9 once it hits Europe. In China it retails for about 18k at the moment.

WRT to the iPhone 4 issue, that issue is existent mostly in US only because of AT&T's crap service. In India that problem doesn't exist as the cell phone signal strength here is much higher than in the US because of our old Indian constructions - which requires higher strength signals to penetrate.

Ok After Much Consideration i've have purchased an Iphone 3gs 16GB for Rs. 21,000/- was this a good Deal?

I still have my BlackBerry Bold 2 9700 though.
