A: any decent camera would do.

A: any.as long as it is easy to use and has proper im options.

A: 3g,wifi or edge.would be happy if it contains both 3g and wifi

9. Q: What is your intended use for this phone(internet, camera, multimedia, mails, etc)?
A: social networking with yahoo messenger,multimedia

A: the phone should look good

A: i was having a look at the bb curve 8520.looked decent

guys basically i am looking for a budget cell phone for my sister.the only thing i want is for it to be good looking and have good browsing and social networking options.looking forward to your recomendations.cheers

Dell XCD 35, Optimus One, BB curve 8520. These are the phones that are being recommended by other members when asked in this budget range.

The problem I have with the curve 8520 is that it seems a lil outdated-.perhaps curve owners over here may shed some experience.

The nokia e5 looks interesting.

Havent considered the optimus cos of it's looks.how does xcd35 fare in the looks department?

^ i am starting to edge for the xcd ahead of the blackberry now.i just have 2 queries now.

Yes XCD and Optimus 1 both are very user friendly .
O1 has better battery life and lower SAR rating and Dell XCD35 has bigger and much better screen.
O1 has a simple but pleasing design. Let your sister use both and decide which one she wants.
