Looking for something between 20-30k (can't go above 30k, would prefer if it came under 28k with card offers and all)
New. Online.
Don't want a Motorola phone with the vegan leather back because it feels gross. Trying to avoid big/ugly camera islands as well.
Want a decent camera and battery bigger than 5000 mAh (preferably silicon carbide)

Looking for around 3 years of OS updates at the very least.

Would prefer a chip wtih a decent antutu score (just in case we wanna play Genshin)

Expecting AMOLED (LTPO if possible) in this range

3.5 mm jack would be a bonus

Currently looking at the galaxy A35 or A36 but they don't seem to have the best cameras or battery in the segment.

Check Realme P3 ultra, it is a good allrounder for the price, except the camera. Another performance-related option would be iQoo Neo 10R (about 20% faster) but I'd rate vivo's UI as slightly inferior to Oppo's UI (found in Oneplus & Realme as well). These already boot Android 15. Vivo has claimed 3 OS updates for Neo 10R but no such claims from Realme, so might get just 2 OS updates.

Buy in the upcoming Summer sale from 01 May.

Yeah P3 ultra and neo 10R are up there in my options, any older phones I should look out for? I saw the nord 4 around this price too so was wondering if any older flagships would be worth it
Nord 4 doesn't add anything over P3 Ultra, similar phone, maybe 1 extra OS update but UI is same (Color OS). OP 12R has similar performance to Neo 10R but inferior battery size. On paper, camera of 12R & P3 Ultra are similar, with Neo 10R having a slightly inferior sensor.

S24FE can be worth checking out if it drops near 35k. E2400 is much better than earlier Exynos chips in performance & efficiency, has a better UI with longer software support, better cameras but inferior battery life & slower charging.

S24 FE is indeed dropping to 35k in the upcoming sale but it just slightly out of budget, so that's unfortunate. Don't think there would be any chance for the S23 FE right?

Would the cameras be decent enough though? Pretty sure it won't get the elite chips like the pro and ultra variants. Also trying to buy at the beginning of may so pretty sure it won't be launched till then anyways.

I believe it's getting the 8s gen4. the camera is very subjective, I can't say if it'll decent enough for you. I have a 16pro and went on a trip recently during easter with family and found many photos to be 'not great' and am contemplating to get a proper camera.

Im looking to get it the F7(provided I can unlock the bootloader) and replace my 2018 poco F1 which is my social doomscrolling and comic/manhua reading secondary phone.

S23FE is an easy no even under 25k, unless you don't care about battery life, heating & performance.

upcoming poco F7?.
Xiaomi's UI has fallen behind other major companies. Battery life is generally inferior to the competition. Sure, Xiaomi is improving with Hyper OS 2 but your call.

I do have a note 13 and note 13 pro plus and yeah the battery does suck on those, not to mention the 13 is still stuck on android 14. I don't think the s24fe will be approaching anywhere near 30k even with the sale, will it? It's currently priced at 37k at amazon.

Maybe S24FE will be 32-33k, who knows. Anyways we will know in a few days. But another problem is 128GB storage, not enough IMO considering you will use it for next 3 years at least.
