*Times Of India published a picture that was clicked by our friend

Abhinav Shinghai aka Stuge, without his consent. The picture was of CWG

Opening Ceremony. Times Of India published it on October 5th at Page no.

Well how did he managed to get his cam in? Also did he posted the un-watermarked pic somewhere?
 
The watermarked portion is covered by the commonwealth logo. Well the original photographer can now sue the advertiser or reporter for publishing the photo without consent.
Chance to get back some money stuffed by the babus now. :P
 
The pic was not stolen by TOI or any other news paper ,i guess it was stolen by CWG people and if u can see the advertisement the place where he has watermarked the pic ,they have put the logo

Totally unethical by media :@ :@
 
If done by CWG they will show some stupid rule book saying since it was our event they are the rightful owners of the pictures and all that cr@p.
 
there were thousands of people at the cwg ceremony, isn't it possible that another guy may have clicked a pic and that too at the same time.. not one guy, but maybe 3 or 4 guys may have got the same shot.. i don't think it's impossible at all..
 
1. How did the Pic get into their hands in the first place.

2. What makes you so sure that its the very same Pic that was clicked by you. Can you prove that it was the same pic? A similar picture could have been taken from about the same point.

I hope the person who has clicked the snap can recognise it? Just as how you would be able to identify if someone else has forged your signature.

It was snapped from his flickr...

he shoots in raw so exif possible i think.

and the agency already contacted him....
 
They probably got it from his flickr account....

I think the agency has contacted him and some settlement is in progress but I think he should make them pay more for stealing without informing and that too a image used for advertising for tickets....
 
Singhai seems to be AWOL for a while! Seems like the agency contacted him after all. :|

I rarely get involved in any debates these days. I have better things to do, but couldnt resist.

I am no photoshop expert. I dont even edit photos for anything but reviews I do in photoshop, but this following cropping took me 5 mins to do.

I took photo of CWG advert, and took photo from stuge, and matched it in photoshop by superimposing both and cropping the stuge's photo until it matched to the one in CWG.

No maths needed, no formulas needed. No pondering required. A practical approach and it clearly shows its his pic. Ponder as much as you want. And video too added (layer switching )
