A friend is moving down to Bangalore next week. She has been called by the company on an urgent requirement but they are providing her only 10day accomodation. So looking for help with some rental properties there.
Looking out for 1/2BHK place near to Embassy Golf links business park. Preferably rent within 10-15k[DOUBLEPOST=1367071034][/DOUBLEPOST]Guys at least any ideas on what places will be viable for the above mentioned rents? Adubodi? Kormangla? Cause I have zero idea :P

Indiranagar would be the best place. Most posh area in Bangalore and very near to domlur.
Kormangala would be another good option.

1 bhk of around 500sq ft. under 10k is possible in these areas , with little searching.
2bhk would cost more than 12+ for any decent one.

Since these are posh area, the costs are high. Some places nearby are Murgeshpalya, HAL , Thipsandara , Jeevanbheema Nagar. Flats would be a tad cheaper there.

Try looking for shared accommodation. Most large it companies message boards will show vacancies and people looking for another flatmate. Cheaper too.

check domlur and mrugesh palaya on the old airport road. Near enough to Embassy Golf Link and should be bit cheaper than Indira Nagar.
Jeevan Bhima Nagar/LB Shashtry Nagar will be cheaper, but mostly not really the stuff most people would prefer.

See, you what are the primary requirements ? Office location is one, but would you be fine with a not so upmarket area or a bit away from the main road?

1BHK are in short supply even at the best of the place. I live in LB Shashtry Nagar myself paying 15k a month as rent for a 900 sq feet 2 bhk flat. But I feel it works best for me given my priorities.

Doddanekundi might be a good choice even though bit further. Just check the water supply. Places around BEML another, but you will be hard strechted to find something in 15k with rooms that dont resemble cupboards.

If you get something in Mrugeshpalya/NR Colony i feel that would be the best.

Well what will down market mean? Does it mean security is a bit less?a bit far from road should be fine until there is access to supermarket and/or eateries. (If it were to me access from ACT broadband will be another necessity :p) My friend was thinking of trying for a furnished house too

Well, the house are not new and shiny. The last mile might be half mud half concrete road. Eateries you have but a couple. Empire does home delivery. Security way, it should be making that much of differnce, but yeah, forget act, even airtel doesnt have broadband in areas.

Furnished houses at that budget will be pretty tricky.

furnished houses will be tough !!

Try for Domlur layout, Kodihalli, New Thippasandra, Murgeshpalya -- you will get 2 BHK within 15K. Most are within 2-4 kms of EGL. And yes, Bangalore is scorching nowadays.

Sulekha is not much help on Kodihalli/Murgeshplaya. All brokers. Prices a bit high. So I guess need to roam around to get things done.
And if you think Bangalore is scorching come to Hyderabad. It's killing temperature along with acute unplanned power shortage. I have spent two whole nights last week awake because off the cuts
