90K+ Planning my first PC - Budget 1.5L

Ah looks like I was quite vague.

I'm going to be using it for gaming and content consumption. Budget of ~1.5L for the tower, but that can change depending on where I can find the most value.

I've created a draft parts list for now, might change depending on GPU prices/availability. Contemplating getting a fractal north case instead for the aesthetics.

I am thinking of waiting for the lancool 217 instead. If anyone has better cabinet suggestions, please share. Bonus points if it looks cool.

850w PSU is overkill for this build if you dont plan on upgrading cpu or gpu in near future, 750w is enough.
Also you can save 1k if you go with 7600 instead of 7600x performance gain is negligible and you can use pbo to stretch 7600 to 7600x performance.

Not in the near future, but when I upgrade in like 5 years, I would have to get a new PSU right? I'm ok with spending money now if it lets me save long-term. Do let me know if it's smarter to get a smaller PSU now though, I might be missing something.

If the current trend of more power for more performance in graphics continues then yes.
I recently built my system with the below specs for around 1.45 lacs:

Basic information that will help with better balancing - What monitor resolution do you play at, and the type of games you play?

IMO this is good. Pay 2k or so extra for Gigabyte B650 Gaming X AX V2 for the 3rd M.2 slot.

I hope RAM is 6000MHz CL30.

As mentioned, 850W is overkill but your call. My i5 12400 + 7900GRE OC (295W) draws under 450W while gaming.

Ideally at 4k.

I only play single player games, would like to try out cyberpunk and upcoming titles like the alters which look a bit graphically intensive.

I also dabble a bit in paradox games, mostly CK3 and Victoria 3. (I'm wondering whether I should get a beefier CPU for these, maybe someone running these on a similar setup can pitch in?)

If content consumption is in requirement go for nvidia graphics.
I just meant watching movies, does the gpu matter at all for that?

They probably mistook content consumption for content editing. Watching movies doesn't really require GPU power.

I'm in a similar boat as you. I'm considering a similar combo for my build, and I do want to play some Paradox games when I build it. However, I don't have an answer for your question.

Waste Of Money.
Don't Build 6 Core processor at 1.50L budget.
There is lots of better option.

At current time, Ryzen 7 7700 is available at 21365 in Flipkart.
Seller is RetailNet & Flipkart Assured.

Great find, thanks, ordered one for myself. Time for an upgrade :P

R7 7700 is worth 4k extra over R5 7600 at 17k, but at 25k+, it is a poor value. Gaming performance improvement isn't much, barely 2-5% but extra multicore performance is surely good to have.

Did you receive the right product? I saw a couple of users in FB n reddit being duped by this deal in Flipkart. They received some non-AM5 processor with a 7700 sticker slapped on it. Thankfully, since it was an open box delivery, they rejected it.

It's AM5 7600 or 7700 sticker with an AM5 IHS sticked on top of AM4 5500 or 5600 because they have pins on them. AM5 processor does not have pins on it.

No. Rejected it in the open box delivery. You likely saw my post on reddit as well, someone took pics from post & posted it in FB groups as well.

The condition of the CPU is absolutely heinous—bent pins all over! No surprise it's from Flipkart, this kind of carelessness has sadly become typical of them. Good thing you were alert during the open-box check, or this could’ve ended badly.

That PSU is an ATX2.XX standard PSU as listed on the PSU tier list. While it will handle 9070XT's transient spikes if you were to upgrade to team green in the future it will not be sufficient. MSI MAG A850GL PCIE5 80+ Gold is a solid contender while costing you less in terms of future-proofing.
You can save some money by buying single sticks of the same RAM twice instead of going for a bundle. I can see the bundle one is priced higher because it is CL30 vs CL36 but performance difference while gaming will not be much if any. Especially since you are planning on playing games at 4k resolution.

Last but not least, if you go with Ryzen 7600 instead of x variant you can get by using the included stock cooler without performance loss while gaming, saving you additional 3.2k INR. If it does happen to not be sufficient you can always buy an aftermarket cooler afterwards. Although it looks like everything has nicely fallen under your price budget so you can choose not to save mere 4-5k rupees.

Waste Of Money.

The amount of cores doesn't matter as much as one would think for gaming. Much less so if you are playing at 4K resolution. IPC performance and X3D cache matter more, especially for processor intensive games like turn based games. Which brings me to my next point.

I also dabble a bit in paradox games, mostly CK3 and Victoria 3. (I'm wondering whether I should get a beefier CPU for these, maybe someone running these on a similar setup can pitch in?)
Now this completely derails the plan of building a 7600/x build. If you plan to play paradox games you will want a X3D processor in the build. Ideally a 7800X3D but it costs twice as much as a 7600x (40k INR) which will make it out of the budget so you will probably want to look for a cheaper X3D processor which is 5700X3D/5800X3D BUT I wouldn't recommend getting a 5700X3D now because 1. It's on a dead platform with no upgradability, 2. It would have been okay if you had a useable motherboard (so you weren't buying it new, which in this instance you will have to) 3. You will actually have less FPS in some games lol.

I'm not sure how much of a performance difference getting a 7700 instead of 7600/x would be for paradox games. There are literally no benchmark comparison for these games. Youtubers neglect these games when it comes to that. I have seen gamers nexus benchmarking it but can't find the video and it might as well would have been for a GPU comparison test as I don't remember.
