Well,

after this long wait, I finally did manage to get these BSNL guys to install their dataone connection at my place, but they have managed to give me the home 250 plan instead of the UL 750 plan that I filled in the form  , I have only played a few RTS games (1V1) online and am not too sure what kinds of data transfer rates come into play during a typical online first person shooter gaming session.......I would like to know if these rates would be low enough for me to go start playing or is it that I should wait till the BSNL ppl change my plan ?

.....can't wait to start playing....and can't afford to overshoot my Download limit too :( ......

what to do guys ?

tell them to change the plan to unlimited from next month. for this month pretend that you do not know how to hold the mouse, or better still have someone hide your comp.

^^i know u will still play, but wait it out until next month :)
2 of my frends got 13000 bills each for 3 months in vacations and now they have no net at home :D

i think 1 vs 1 rts games take around 1mb per game or so....u can see the usage on their site itself

btw, which rts do u play??
i play age :)

Well I have played only warcraft3 ROC/TFT and the other one is a "not so popular game" , that is : "Army men RTS ". that's just about it.....absolutely loved WC3 from whatever little that I could play.
