Hey,

Camera mobiles have been banned in my office for security reasons:no:

Please suggest me a mobile without a camera....:)

Good display resolution and colours is my high priority....:hap2:
Good Battery life and Extendable memory are secondary options.....

Budget is 5k.... If really good ones are at a higher range , specify it too :P

Bye

In the mid-range, check out the Nokia E60/E61 and SE G700 Business Edition. The E51 is also available without a camera.

If you want a touchscreen, you could probably get a brand new SE M600 for less than 10k.

None of these are currently available with dealers. I ended up buying a plain Samsung phone :(

We are allowed mp3 player in the office too.....

How much does the following cost ?

Nokia E60/E61
SE G700
E51- camera free

Any other suggestions ?
Thanks in advance

Rather tough to have a combination of good display resolution and no camera in this budget. The business oriented phones come much pricier.
I think the best you can do in this budget without camera is something with 128x128 pixels. There are a couple of phones with 128x160 as well but these are without expandable memory.
Look at the Samsung E1410, LG KP115 and Moto W230/W270
They are all more or less in the same price bracket of Rs 2800 with only the W230 a few hundred cheaper.
If you need the bigger 128x160 but no expandable memory, then look at Nokia 1661 and Samsung B210

Samsung E1410 - has bluetooth, syncs with my exchange and outlook for contacts, supports 1 gb micro sd card (never used it tho). decent voice quality, but could never get my bluetooth handsfree to work on this.

The SE G700 has a camera.

If you can find a SE M600i anywhere, just take it. UIQ, QVGA screen, touchscreen interface with a QW-ER-TY keypad...the best of the lot. Its almost a P1i, but without Wifi and camera. Perfect phone.

Thanks mate for the suggestion..... i was able to come down to one choice Samsung E1410.... But all of a sudden a came to know abt the mobiles Philips M200 and Philips E210... Any idea abt how much they cost and how philips mobiles are ?????

Philips mobiles are decent, am not aware of service and user friendliness. Personally I am OK with the samsung, its my 2nd phone anyways, but was looking for a M600 for too long, then gave up. The E61 non camera you will get in mkt are pathetic in condition.

AFAIK E51 camera free was never launched in India by the finnish devils. Never found it, even in heera panna. If you can get it, good for you, else ur choices are very limited. You can also look at the cheaper offerings from Reliance and TATA.

In the higher range you have some Blackberry models like 8820 which are camera free, ofc the cost is another thing...

With a new one with camera at about 11 K, this quote sounds ridiculous. 7 K I would say if it was in great condition.

Your first post said your budget was 5 K.

Sorry no lead on the two Philips phones.
