Android Please help me decide between the nexus 7 and galaxy tab 2 p3110 or p3100

hey guys iam planning to get my first tablet
my main uses are:
  1. Reading ebooks
  2. watching tvshows and movies
  3. music
  4. games
  5. Internet browsing
I have decided to go for an android tab and have narrowed down the choices to these three tabs

Tab 2 p3110,p3100 and nexus 7

I will be using the tab during commute, but i wont be browsing the internet on the go.
So please suggest

Depends,
p3110 is the cheapest and has no internet. But you can create wifi hotspot on ur phone if you want to browse on the go.
I have 3110. I do read PDFs in the bus and also watch Videos on it. I got it for 9.2 k on ebay. Build and battery both are pretty decent.


nexus 7 is the best and is costliest amongst your options but has no storage expansion .
Also which nexus 7 are u planning to buy?
 
just got p3100 to be used as a navigation device in CAR... if you are really in to reading ebooks/PDF, i would suggest 'STAY AWAY'! May be i'm too much influenced by the retina screen, yes i use ipad3.

Since you watch videos on your galaxy tab 2, how many hours of battery backup just for videos you get ? I am talking about the normal TV show type videos, no 720p/1080p stuff.
45 min show of 350 MB types.
 
it would have been brilliant if there was an emi scheme for the nexus 7 do you thing the price will go down in the coming days?

I think the battery is much better than my iPod Touch.
My iPod touch is like 2 years old now.

Leme give the recent example.
I watch Some shows which have resolution of 852 X 480 .mkv files of 43-45 mins each.
I have used the player that came preinstalled with the samsung tab.
The battery was not even 1/4 empty (perhaps 1/5 or 1/6 ) when i watched like 4 videos continuosly.

Where as the iPod Touch at present is gives me low battery warnings when i watch my 3rd video.

me too using Tab P3110... i can watch 3 full-length movies in a row(700 MB BRRip files) at medium brightness level before i need to charge it again... its around 7hrs

+Quad core tegra processor
+Better displayed
+Future android updates will be rolled out instantly
+Better battery life
-lack of expandable memory
-lack of back camera
-costs 16000

+Cheap
+Has expandable memory
+Back camera present
+Display is ok eventhough it is not as good
-not so good battery life
-takes long time to charge

P3110 Owneres can some one please answer the following questions

How good is the battery life?
How smooth is the touch responsiveness?
how good is the display?
How well do apps run on the tab?
Will my OS be updated as soon as a new update is rolled out?
How well does it fare as a reading device?[DOUBLEPOST=1369791120][/DOUBLEPOST]Bumo anyioe?

battery life is pretty decent like we have already answered in the posts above.
I find the touch responsiveness smooth enough.
Display at 170ppi is slightly better than Non Retina iPad Mini 162 ppi.
I havent installed many apps. Its mainly Ebook readers like Adobe PDF and Montano Reader and UC Browser.
they are pretty smooth.
I did install Temple Run 2 for testing it. It ran pretty smooth as well.
I liked it as a reading device. I can read comfortably.
I have never read on Nexus, so i cant comment on that.
 
GPS lock is very fast... so navigation is perfect! though i've sygic installed, i use only Google navigation as of now!
