Please help me get refund from Flipkart

Here is the story so far-

1. Purchased an item worth Rs.999/- through HDFC Credit card on 23/July/11.

2. Waited till 03/Aug/2011 for any sign of delivery or in-transit notification/updates. Mailed 2 times reminding them to mail it or at least provide status update on delivery. Only email replies I got were, that it would be shipped in 2-3 Business days.

3. Emailed them on 3/Aug to cancel and refund the order,as after waiting for 10 days they did not bother to ship the item or provide any concrete delivery date.

4. Since then (03/Aug) have been following them through emails and phone, to refund the amount of Rs.999/- in my Credit card account. But only get 'poilite' emails and Customer care appears clueless on what might be the reason. Last week warned them, that if it is not resolved by Monday (29/Aug), I would go public with the grievance. And the result is this post.

Flipkart CC says that the amount was refunded on the same day, I canceled the order (3/Aug), but the amount is not reflected in my account. This fact is confirmed by my bank too (HDFC). FYI, my CC billing cycle is of 12th.

Please help me in getting my money back. I had satisfactory transactions with Flipkart before, but this is too much and I have decided to go public with it. Highly disappointed with this kind of poor service.

Please post if you have had similar bad experiences from Flipkart and help/suggest me in getting my money back.

Flipkart has been 'the' best online experience with products reaching me in a day(if its shipped from Blore) or two days(When shipped from Northern India). This seems to be a one-off case.
 
Flipkart staff has assured me that matter would be resolved in 4-6 business days. Mods pleas close the thread for now.
 
Mods, leave this open. If other people have grievances let them air it here...

P.S. Have ordered lot of stuff from them but never had a problem...
 
In an age when online shops can be found dime a dozen, all these shopping portals need to be go beyond the regular and ensure customer delight. One slip up like this and they could end up losing a customer forever. I am sure that they understand that most of their customers would be net savvy and can spread the word of mouth much rapidly than their counterparts. I am going through a harrowing time with one of my deals with another online portal (would not name it here as this is specifically for flipkart), but somehow the lack of communication is something that sours most deals.
