Just wanted to know wht to look for when buying SSD's....... meaning which speeds...... sequential or Random...... etc

Anandtech benchmarks gives lots of tests...... so wanted to know which tests to look for......

Finally I got my SSD drive. Its intel 320 series 120GB HDD from Amazon. Cost me 10.5K landing price.

When I install it in my desktop should I set SATA mode to AHCI? What other settings needed. Any SATA port preferences or any SATA port would work?

Please follow these instructions to increase the Lifespan of your HDD. This also talks about AHCI.
