Android Please share Samsung authorized service experience

Hi guys,

Since the time I bought my Samsung S25, my previous mobile (S21 FE SD888 256GB) which is in brand new condition is lying unused.

I am thinking of upgrading my family member's mobile with this one.

There is very minor crack at back glass which is hardly visible and it will be used with cover anyway. So, that can be ignored.

But it's battery has degraded over the time. We had bought 2 mobiles (same model) in Oct'23 but only this one has battery issue.

I think it is lasting 70-75% compared to a new one. This is my guess but not confirmed (please suggest suitable app/method to confirm).

So, my question is if someone got battery (and back glass) changed from Samsung authorized service, how was the experience? Does it work like new? And equally important, do they leave any repair marks on mobile or it looks brand new even after such repair job? Does it also vary from one service center to another? (Please suggest one in Gurgaon).

If it works like new and they leave no sign of repair, I can get it done, else I will not. Looks are extremely important. :)

Thanks.

pune, took 20 mins, 3k odd. book appt via samsung website, they call and confirm what u want to get done, then tell u once the parts are in stock so you can go and get it fixed. put phone in repair/ maintenance mode before handing over

Presumably you have upgraded your S21FE to the latest OS? A15 & ONE UI 7.

There is a way to query charge cycles & battery health but it requires work

If the dial code he mentions doesn't work then disable auto blocker

There is no way to guarantee this as it depends on the skill of the person doing the job. One expects they are experienced and will do an acceptable job with acceptable being defined by them.

Changing the battery means it will work as new as they only can replace with a genuine battery. The looks part is going to be a gamble with odds in your favour.

Thank you so much.

Yes, I have upgrade to OneUI 7.0 Android 15. But the battery problem is since long time even before OneUI upgradation.

I have run the test and it shows 99% (shocking similarity in battery health as well as Battery Charge Cycles of this youtube video and my S21FE5G mobile o_O).

Does this mean my battery is good? Just a factory reset will fix it?

You did say it was in brand new condition lying around unused.

So this phone was sparingly used?

Has the battery degraded or not?

If it has spent much time totally flat then there is a chance it has.

You might have to try several charge/discharge cycles to find out

This phone was kept as a secondary/home phone to receive bank SMS, etc. and charged once in two days or so. Instead of switching off at night, it was kept in flight mode.

Why don't you post the stats from your other S21FE and let's see if there is any difference?
