Please Suggest 50" Plasma TV

No its not a 1080p panel its a HD panel.

But Vij u got to decide after seeing both the panel side by side also what is your piority TV viewing or HD stuff.

Usual TV programmes and DVDs...thats all...

But my worry is that my viewing distance is going to be just 12 feet. Will full HD plasma work better while watching regular tatasky and DVDs considering my viewing distance isnt much...:ashamed: ?
 
This was posted in the answers section of yahoo...

Standard TV is broadcast in 480i which is not HD so the picture quality will be poor on an HD TV especially when you stretch the picture to fill the screen. Best to subscribe to HD programming from either a satellite or cable company if you want to view HD programming. You can also opt for an off-air antenna to receive local HD programming.

Does that mean a 720p TV will give better pictures of cable/tatsky transmitted images compared to Full HD panels??? WTH :huh:
 
search for sight and sound showrooms in hyderabad.. they are the official distributors for hitachi in india.. check out their website @ sightandsoundindia.com.

though frankly the 50" hitachi sounds really wonderful to me.. an if my cousin is to be believed.. he said if u bargain real bad u can get it for 1.4 lac.. though dont really trust him much..

well.. call up their head office or somethin and ask them where u can buy it from.. theyd be more than happy to help u cause theyd obviously be makin money if u buy.. :P

Yes, left them an email and they called and gave me a quote of 2.10L for the Hitachi P50X01A.

Ouch that hurt!
 
well.. in tat case i think ul have to look towards pioneer kuros.. although i think even they r damn expensiv.. find out..

and 2.1 lac seems a bit to exorbitant to me.. i checked wit my bro.. (hes in hk) an he said its for like 1.3-1.4 lac ther.. 80k is a massiv price diff..

Iam not surprised considering its FullHD....The usual 50" plasma retails for 1.6L....
 
^ Temme if your buying a Hitachi, I can talk to the distri and have the unit shipped to you without tax (but with 1 year official warranty)

well i dont know about hitachi being no 1,but they dont have the leading market share to be no1 ,nor they hold any performance crowns.

I will be 100% buying within this month. The problem is I am a noob. I will mostly be watching cable and DVD stuff but want to be able to watch HD videos once in a while...how does non-fullHD panels hold up with HD stuff and what panel do I go for... Also what DVD player...I want the bare minimum...

Also my viewing distance is just 10feet...

Iam fed up of 42" TVs...Already have 2 of em...

I need something bigger... vertical screen space of 42" WS TV isnt enough for me. If you people really think 50" is overkill, how abt 46"...

Will fullHD panel make a difference...If so what difference...Puhhleeezzzzz somebody tell me...

I measured my viewing distance and it will be 11feet... ofcourse sometimes can be 10 feet depending on my position...

I can go for FullHD 46" LCD or HD Ready 50" Plasma...My budget is 1.7L...

How is this
