Monitors Please suggest a 20 inch monitor

Brother recently upgraded from his old Samsung TFT to Samsung 20 inch LED - S20B300B Monitor. But he complains that the colors are not as vibrant on the new monitor. So he intends to return the new monitor and has asked me for suggestion.

Please suggest a 20 inch LED monitor which has a killer display panel.
It will not be used for gaming.

Budget : preferably less than 10k.
 
Do you have try to setting up your display in your control panel? Or if this condition its still occur, you can try adjust your monitor button until get the matching color.
 
@Argus calibrate the monitor properly, the DeLL IN2030M has a slightly bluish tinge to its colours.

What does your brother do on the monitor?

Simple browsing and surfing etc. No photography or artwork. Although he did mention that the images clicked from his camera and Note looked pretty vibrant on the older monitor but now they look pretty dull on the newer one.

Thanks for the calibration advice. Will find out more about calibrating and ask brother to try it out.

Choice of going for 20 inch monitor is dominated by table-space constraints. Is there no IPS panel for 20 inch LED monitors ? What is the best monitor in this size category.

Nope they stopped producing them some time back. If you are open to ~21" offerings you have a few options such as --
Philips IPS LED monitor E-line 21.5 54.6 cm, shipping it from Bombay is going to be a little risky and so it is your call. Try to find the monitor in Bangalore, Prime ABGB now has commenced its Bombay Bangalore operations so you should not have much issues requesting them to source it for you.

For best results he will need to calibrate and adjust the settings on any new monitor to get image quality like the former monitor.
