Don't know fake or legit but it have c media chip set and sound quality is very good. Plus Headphone does not heat-up during uses. I am using it with my Audio Technica ATH m35.

@sunny4691 Got the card an hour ago. This one has no heating problems at all. Been testing it for well over 30 minutes. Nothing.

One downside of this card is that there is almost no bass. Tested the Enter card and this one with the same earphone and same song. Could feel the drum beats with the Enter card. But on this 7.1 card, it is totally flat.

You got the quantum one or this one - http://www.ebay.in/itm/USB-7-1-Sound-Card-with-MIC-Input-Volume-Control-PC-Lap-/161051448171 ?

Buy this one http://www.ebay.com/itm/Free-Shippi...USB-7-1-SOUND-CARD-High-Quality-/281049299200
I bought it last year. It is pretty good in quality.
Does your card have as good a sound quality as the internal card of your desktop/laptop?
Have you ever used it with an IEM? You will not be able to observe any heating effect when using speakers or headphone. It is only seen when used with IEM's.
I was just going to order this - http://www.ebay.com/itm/SteelSeries...undcard-5hv2-Surround-sound-NEW-/140631711353

@prateekS Are you sure that the card being used by @ivhere is a fake Steel Series card?

P.S: Who changed the name of my thread? I did not buy the Quantum 623.
