Storage Solutions Please suggest a new internal DVD Writer!

Of late, many of my DVD burns are failing. I have tried software/firmware upgrade and come to conclusion that my old burner is dying and can't be helped. I see no threads here on suggestions for buying of DVD burners. I guess people no longer archive their data/videos by burning DVDs but instead just store them in thumb drives / ext HDD. However I would still like to buy a new internal DVD Writer for myself. So please provide your suggestions!

Asus DRW-24B5ST (aka Liteon iHas x24 124)

The Xbox Backup community swear by these drives. Not only they capable of burning all the way up to 8.5GB but are insanely good at turning up top quality and incredibly stable burns. You can save cash by getting the Liteon iHas x24 124 for cheaper than the Asus and they're absolutely identical.
