Storage Solutions Please suggest a reliable harddrive

hmm everybody has likes/dislikes from their experiences.

yes hitachi is still a pain in ass getting replaced as they dont have any valid rma center around so we are only left with an option to drop it to the respective retail shop. Samsung has now 2-3 rma centres around so feels good.

BTW way back 8yrs i used a QUANTUM 40gb ide and you wont believe, it got twin-led lights to indicate the disk performance. Red & green.

the disk was from a branded Compaq presario which i bought for 1.8k off a friends system which he ws gonna dump.

in the past 2 X 1 tb seagate drives failed so i shifted to WD , now after a few months my 1.5 tb WD has failed and am still waiting for the replacement to come..
the problem is i need another 2 tb hd and am very confused which one to go for..samsung spinpoint F4 has good reviews but not available in india..and no rma centers for samsung..
