Why don't you follow the format properly ? We want to know the purpose of the rig , the gaming resoultion played by you etc

Just follow the format. Things are in the same way as before , very complicating thread , hard for anyone to make out what you want and for what purpose you want it ?

Components Model Description Price (INR)

CPU Athlon II x4 630 5050

Mobo Gigabyte MA 785GMT UD2H 5300

RAM 2GB 1333MHz Kingston DDRIII RAM 2700

HDD WD Blue 2300

Cabinet CM Elite 310 / NZXT Gamma 1500 / 2000

PSU/SMPS Corsair VX 450 4100

I recommended WD Blue in comparison to Seagate as WD has 5 years warranty while Seagate reduced it to 3 years warranty

(ie CM 650 Had high Watts So should i go with it or less watts Crosair 450W)

Pls note I will not be buying a monitor now

Ok i searched alot and found these 3 mobos pls tell me if they are good

MSI 790GX-G65 AM3 AMD 790GX HDMI ATX AMD Motherboard

GIGABYTE GA-MA770T-UD3P AM3 AMD 770 ATX AMD Motherboard

ASUS M4A785TD-V EVO AM3 AMD 785G HDMI ATX AMD Motherboard

i want which ne is better in terms of relaibility VFM After sales service

Gigabyte MA785GMT UD2H - 5.5k
MSI 785GM E51 - 4.6k
MSI 785GM E65 - 5.6k
Asus M4A785TD EVO - 6.5k

You can opt for any of these AM3 mobos if you don't want Biostar mobos

CPU: AMD Athlon II x4 630 -5150
Mobo: ASUS M4A785TD-V EVO -6500
RAM: 2GB 1333MHz Corsair DDRIII RAM -3000

Cabinet: NZXT GAMMA/ CM Elite 310 -2000/1600
PSU/SMPS: Corsair VX 450/CX400/Seasonic S12II 380w -3800/2800/3000
Total: Rs:21400-22800

The total power consumption of ur PC wont even cross 150w during normal-heavy usage as of now and even after adding a 6k(5xxx/6xxx) series GPU it wont cross 200w. So its better to go for a 400-450w PSU to maintain high efficiency. A PSU offers its highest efficieny when the load is between 40-60% of the rated wattage.

Its not about the wattage when it comes to a PSU. Its about how much watts a PSU can deliver continously. How efficient it is, how clean the power delivered is etc.. Also take into note the warranty. The VX450 has 5 years warranty. Even the VX450 is a overkill for your system. The ideal efficient PSU(80+ efficiency certified) for you would be Corsair CX400(3 yrs warranty) - 2.8-3k or the Seasonic S12II 380w(5 yrs warranty) - 3-3.1k~. Both can easily handle your forecasted future upgrades for the next 5 years with ease.

Phenom x4 9650 is no where near Athlon II x4 630 . It couldn't even beat Core 2 Duo 2.66GHZ let alone Athlon II x4 630. Still curious ? Want more info ?

AnandTech Bench (beta): AMD Phenom X4 9650 vs AMD Athlon II X4 630

Check it out. This is why the AMD Phenomâ„¢ X4 9650 is not recommend. Its costlier and slower too in all benchmarks, real world apps and games.

Also its a 65nm technology and pretty old. Most vendors dont even stock them now a days. The Phenom's(1st gen.) are pretty much forgotten now.

Go easy on him boss. Most newbies are like this. Insufficient knowledge about the tech.

I built a recent desktop (after asking here)

Components Model Description Price (INR)

CPU Athlon II x2 240 -

Mobo Gigabyte GA-M61PME-S2 (integrated nvidia 6100) 5.9k (with processor)

RAM 4GB Kingston DDRII RAM 4.7k

HDD 500GB WD 2.3k

Cabinet Zebronics Bijli 1.1k

PSU/SMPS CoolerMaster CM350 1.5k

Total 15500

I suggest you then put in about 6-8k to buy a 19-22 in LCD. This is not as powerful as the configs written up above, but it is a lot cheaper - even after accounting for 4GB RAM. I can never have too much RAM.

You have more money left over to buy a better graphics card.

lol sorry guys just realized 9650 is phenom not phenom II lol

Guys how much does a cheapest phenom 2 x4 processor cost?

PhenomII X4 925 - 7.1k~
You can also get a PhenomII 555BE and if you are lucky you may unlock it to a tri/quad core(955BE). Check the CPU/Mobo corner for unlocking experiences of users.

Is It worth extra 2000?
