PMP and Headphones combo

I am able to fork out some 15k INR. I need a PMP + headphone combo. I am gonna watch movies with that headphone son my laptop too.

Good noise cancellation and good SQ is very important. I would like to get good battery life too.

Previously been using iPod 3G + creative EP630, samsung galaxy S + creative ep630, N79 + ep630

I listen to

AKon
Enrique
hoobastank
eminem

I also like a lil THUMP (read as Bass...) in my music ... not too much to ruin the song though.
 
is there anyway to get the ad700 from india only w/o using ebay globalbuy?

You can contact pristinenote on ebay india. He was/is selling an ATH M50. See if you can have him arrange one AD700 for you.
 
@OP,

AD-700 is more balanced with a wide sound stage, but it lacks bass quantity / hump. Sure, you will like it with movies. But, it won't give noise isolation or the thump you are looking for.
 
The Audio Technica M50 would be a better option since it is a closed headphone and has nice bass. It costs 6.5k on global easy bay after using a 500 off coupon.

Regarding the PMP, you can have a look at the Sansa Fuze or the Cowon D2+
 
What about IEMs? I think I can get better quality IEMs at the same price range???

Also what is the price of the PMPs that you guys have mentioned.
 
go for the shure 535's or the ue tf10's. dont need amp to drive the tf10's . as for pmp get the itouch used loads of deals goin on or go for the sflo2 if u dont mind a bit of bugs here n there.
 
get the touch if you want the best PMP ( while sacrifising a bit on the SQ )...else get the S:flo2 ...bit buggy UI....with great ssq enough to drive all IEMs and some good HPs also

for headphone AT M50 as every one is suggesting will do fine
....but as its a HP thus not portable ....go for Radius DDM, DBA-02 if portability is an issue

@toxicdift ....whoa ....where the hell we would find SE535 under 10-12K!!!
 
Unless and until you need all the extra features like video, wi-fi , internet etc . I would say don't spend 10-12k on a player. Just get a Fuze for ~4-5k and spend the rest 10k on an awesome can :D

i thought his budget was 15k (first post) so could've been a bit flexible with it i suppose, haha my bad

Well,

You Mentioned Bass ,Well Try The Brainwavz M2 Which Are actually the visang r03 .The Nuforce Ne6 "I consider it to be at par with the soundmagic pl-11's with with better mids and high ,Although The SQ of both is not too great only bass is .I would also suggest you try auditioning all the iems that you plan to use with your gear ,talking to us and taking a report is fine but it is you who have to listen to those hence its a better idea to try em also .

I use this with PMP, Laptop (gaming and movie) and soon with my LED TV.

Which is best.

and which one to get with a budget of 5k.

Since you plan to use with PC,laptop ,TV etc. headphones would be better.If you can source a RX900 then get it for headphones but they can be uncomfortable and sweaty for long hours.
 
grado sr80 also good but dont know the price and availability anyway ad700 is not for rap and hip hop lovers it lacks bass quantity.
 
Arrey manu bhai grado's are for Rock listeners. If a person listens to Dire Straits or Eagles or The Doors i would tell him to get Grado's eased closed. Even for movies i'll say ok fine.

But for a guy who listens to Akon, Eminem and especially someone coming from a EP630, he wants a sub woofer attached to his head to enjoy it. Get a Ultrasone HF780 or a ATM50s is within your budget. Ultrasone is better but a lil expensive.

Toxicdrift has owned HF780 so he can vouch for it. I have tried the M50's so i can definately vouch for em.

Hahahari, bindaas go and order M50's from ebay pristinenote. He's a cool guy. Their very easy to drive, plug em into any damn thing(except a 100bucks ka radio) and it will work great.
