Hello friends, interested to share my experience yesterday with poorvika..

I was looking for a genuine nokia car charger (which comes with 6 months warranty) for my e71 and i was quoted 200 from richie st., Chennai. The packing bears an MRP of 240.

So through phone I enquired in Poorvika thinking that i would get even lesser. But those assholes quoted Rs.350 and when i asked them to verify the sales package for MRP, they told that the sales package doesnt bear MRP. WTF !!!. I asked them how its possible. If it is a nokia genuine accessory, then it should bear the MRP. The guy bluntly says its like that only.

Now i enquired in my area branch ( after gettting their phone no. from this branch) as most of the contact nos. given in their website dont work. This bastard says 450. OMG !!!. When i told him that i myself have seen the package which bears an MRP of Rs.240/- that guy was stammering (as if he has no words to speak) and in a low voice he asked me to come to his shop... He also confirmed that the packing doesnt have any MRP. WTF !!!

Guys even i have purchased mobiles from poorvika. Their price is OK when compared to other day robbers, no doubt. But when it comes to accessories, do some home work and enquire price before you buy....

Members are welcome to share their experiences with Poorvika.....

they r getting the sales package without mrp.. what does this mean ?...

Quoting a higher price may be robbery.. But cleverly getting da sales package w/o mrp amounts to fraud only ....

It is the responsibility of the manufacturer to put an MRP, not the sellers. If there is no MRP, then I donot think its fraud. He is a business man, not a charitable organization. Its his job to make money. If people are willing to buy for 350, whats your problem? Vijay Sales sells 40" TV's for 60K, which I can get for 36K outside. That way you can say even they are doing fraud.

Yes, that is fraud. Just because you are doing business doesn't mean you go to any lengths to make as much profit as you want, one of the things that people have got used to these days.

There is a difference mate... Vijay Sales puts a Price Tag (MRP) of 60k on the TVs. These people are selling the products at arbitrary prices without MRP....

What guarantee do we have that the accessories being sold are Imported & Distributed by Nokia India even?? They might be Chinese copies (1st copies) that look, work and feel exactly like the originals.

Come on... China is making exact replicas of the iPhone 4 and even Honda CRV, do u think that they cannot make a in car charger??

So, Poorvika is indeed committing fraud.

Thanx a lot for your replies guys and well said nehaladsul. Seller is allowed to sell within the MRP price and not above that.... And i dont know how these ass holes get it without the MRP. . As nehaladsul pointed out, they can be cheap chinese make also.

Even that price is not common with all the poorvika branches.. Seems something fishy with poorvika
