PC Peripherals Possible download rig ?

Hi

I am getting this one for AED180(~2.5k INR) Wyse Technology - Winterm 9150SE.I want to use this as a download rig.Should i buy an 2.5"external hdd like WD passport to use as storage or should i get an 3.5" hdd enclosure for the 500gb sata hdd i have ? I dont want to spend much but last time i used a pata hdd in an enclosure for long times, it used to get hot and then the enclosure died on me after a week of usage....Secondly will i be having any problems using the client as a Download rig ?

Should i build one with an laptop hdd and an enclosure or buy ones WD passport/seagate freeagent go.....assembled will be cheaper but will it be reliable ?
