Post Sites open for signup Thread

Site Name: TheTorrents (TheTorrents.org :: Login)

Signup URL: TheTorrents.org :: Signup

Registrations for THT are currently open. According to site staff, open signups would continue until the site reaches the user limit of 10000 members. There is plenty of room for everyone so if you are interested, feel free to check this tracker out.

As for the site interface, it’s by default in Romanian language. You can switch the language to English through the profile page (Go to ‘Profil’ from top bar and set value to English from the drop down menu next to text ‘Limba’). TheTorrents (THT) is one such private tracker that focuses on a specific niche – oldies. By oldies we mean old movies, retro TV shows, classic literature, etc. It’s a brand new site and not many torrenters even know of its existence yet. However, THT does index some pretty rare content and some of you might even consider it a hidden gem. Before we forget to mention, this is a ratioless tracker – there are no global upload : download ratio requirements and every activity on site including user promotions are based on total traffic. In case you are interested in signing up, registrations are currently open. As we said earlier, THT is a very young tracker. It’s only been up for a week and hasn’t had a lot of public exposure yet. However, the site has so far managed to recruit over 1500 members and its torrent index has already surpassed the 500 mark. It’s not a revolution but a very healthy start nevertheless. What sets THT apart from the thousands of BitTorrent sites out there is its content. True, this is not the first tracker to specialize in oldies but at least it’s not another General/0Day torrent tracker. Anyway note that THT has Romanian origins (.RO is banned from several popular private trackers but they sure do have a lot of torrent sites of their own). Naturally, it indexes a mix of both Romanian and English content. If you are looking to download English releases only, make sure to deselect the ‘Romanesti’ category during a search.

Site Name: GetTorrents (https://gettorrents.org)

Signup URL: https://gettorrents.org/signup.php

If you are interested in becoming a member of GetTorrents, this isn’t a particularly hard tracker to get into. While it remains invite only for the most part, there are timex the site is open to the public (such as right now). If you are a DnB music fan, this is definitely a site worth joining.

Fans of Drum and Bass (DnB) music rejoice – GetTorrents (GT) is open for signup. This is one of those heavily underrated private trackers in the BitTorrent scene. For some reason, GT does not seem to get the attention and appreciation of music fans it rightfully deserves. Most people seem to consider this as yet another general tracker simply because of its name. Well, it’s certainly not a General/0day torrent site – GT specializes in music and is one of the best sources on the internet to find and download Drum and Bass albums and singles. It’s a veteran private tracker that’s been online for almost 4 years (since 2007) and by today has amassed a strong user base and a torrent index with thousands of music albums relating to a number of different music genres such as DnB, Dubstep, Electronic, House, Hip Hop, Jungle, Old School and more. Despite the lack of a celebrity status in the BitTorrent scene, the past 4 years have been pretty good for GetTorrents. By today, it’s a decently sized private torrent tracker with over 11000 registered members and over 9500 active torrents. It doesn’t have the fancy features you’d see on a modern Gazelle based tracker but GT’s current codebase covers all the basics and will provide users with the regular features available on the average private torrent site. The generic sounding name aside, GetTorrent is not a general torrent tracker. The site specializes in music, radio shows and DJ mixes. Bulk of the torrents are music albums which fall under the Drum and Bass genre. Apart from these, available torrent categories include Rave, Reggae, Techno, Trance, Dubstep, Electronic, House, Hip Hop, Jungle, Old School and Hardcore among others.

BTN TV Tracker Invites Channel Open For The First Time In 2011

IRC interviews are now open. You will be able to get a free invite to join BTN if you get through the interview process conducted by site staff. The interview itself is not likely to take a lot of time but due to heavy demand, you may have to wait in a pretty long queue. We do not know for how long the channel will remain open so get in while you can. IRC channel details and are listed below:

Server: irc.omgwtfhax.net
Channel: #BTN-Invites
Direct Link: irc://irc.omgwtfhax.net/BTN-Invites

Make sure to follow instructions mentioned on channel topic. Spamming and sending private messages (PM) to staff without permission will likely get you kicked out from the channel. Good Luck!

Ever since its inception back in late 2009, BTN has come a long way as a private TV torrent tracker. The site pretty much has all major television series (both old and new) available for download, is based on a modern user interface rich with advanced features, has fast pre times and is ratio free. To put it short, BTN now rivals long standing specialized TV torrent sites such as BitMeTv.Com and TVTorrents.Com in terms of available content, site features as well as active user base. There has always been great demand for BTN membership within the BitTorrent community but getting in has become harder over the last couple of months as the site closed it’s IRC invites channel and reduced the number of invites issued to existing members. If you are one of the folks looking to get into this awesome tracker, there is finally some good news – BTN now runs on a more powerful, brand new server and in celebration, staff have re opened the IRC invites channel which was closed for months. For those looking for updated site statistics, BTN now tracks nearly 25000 TV torrents which cover 4600 different TV shows, 13000 episodes, 4500 seasons involving 10000+ actors.

Site Name: Across The Tasman (acrossthetasman.com)

Signup URL: Register at acrossthetasman.com

Note that AcrossTheTasman is not a Cricket only private tracker. It tracks a host of other sports content including Rubgy, Mortor Racing, Tennis, Australian Soccer, etc. If you are interested in becoming a new member, registrations are currently open.

There aren’t many torrent trackers out there which index Cricket torrents. The game is only being played on a handful countries as opposed to sports such as Football. Despite this, Cricket has a growing number of fans across the world and it’s already a hugely popular sport in the Asian region. With the World Cup 2011 currently ongoing, the enthusiasm for Cricket is at its heights. However, the lack of Cricket related content has still not changed in the BitTorrent scene – although scene groups such as FAIRPLAY, etc. release match highlight videos, etc. it’s done in an inconsistent and an irregular manner. If you are looking to download World Cup Cricket torrents, here’s one tracker that has them; AcrossTheTasman. ATT tracks full match videos, highlights and TV documentaries related to CWC2011 and other events, both in standard and high definition. In addition to Cricket, this tracker has Rubgy, Mortor Racing, Tennis, Australian Soccer and other sports content indexed as well. Some of you might be hearing about ATT for the very first time. But this isn’t a site that landed out of nowhere – AcrossTheTasman is a spinoff tracker by the same team who runs popular Diwana.org. They have been tracking Cricket content ever since inception and now, the coverage has expanded to World Cup 2011. It appears that ATT has their own cappers who capture the streams from live broadcasts (sans the commercials), encode them and upload them as torrents – daily highlights packages, full match videos and pre/post match commentary are all available, some in high definition formats.

Site Name: iPLAY (iplay4)

Signup URL: Visit iplay4 and click on ‘Signup’ button.

This is probably the first time in several years the popular private tracker iPlay is having a proper open signup. As we posted quite a few times before, iPlay had occasionally allowed new member join through their trial registrations program; users had to prove that they were good members by meeting a set of pre set requirements in order for their trial account to be converted to permanent status. The current open signup however does not seem to be part of the trial program – accounts created now seem to get the regular user privileges immediately. This is great news for those who were looking forward to get into iPlay. It’s a great General/0Day tracker which tracks almost everything ranging from movies, TV shows, music, video games to E-Books. The site gets scene and non scene releases pretty quickly, has fast download speeds and indexes exclusive content released by 5 of its internal encoder groups. iPlay just recently introduced the iSeed bonus points system which makes it easier than ever to maintain a good ratio on site. Statistically speaking, iPlay is one of the larger private trackers around. It tracks nearly 15000 active torrents of all shapes and sizes and has 38000+ registered users who keep these torrents alive and well seeded. However, size isn’t the only factor why iPlay is a great tracker. Unlike most general trackers which pretty much index the same content as any other similar site, iPlay has a lot of internal, exclusive releases. These are uploaded by 5 of their own release groups, iNCOMiNG (HD content), iDVD (DVDR releases), iPSP (mobile optimized video), iHD (HD content) and iMOBILE (Mobile optimized content). There are thousands of such exclusive encodes indexed here - you can track these using the iPlay Releases Board - iplay4). Additionally, this site has a great visual design - the four different themes introduced with iPlay V4 look great and gives the site a polished look.
While download speeds are usually great for indexed torrents, not being able to seed back easily has always been a problem for iPlay members. Thankfully, iPlay just recently introduced the iSeed bonus points system which makes things a lot easier. Quoted below is a new post on homepage explaining how the new system works:
iPLAY wants to help you maintain a good ratio, despite your low internet connection. It's never been easier to maintain your ratio. iSeed is based on the fundamental p2p principle, sharing.
If you seed what you downloaded, you'll never have to worry about your ratio.
How it works:
1. If the torrent is smaller than 1 GB or equal you get 1:1 ratio after 24 hours ( 1 day ) of seed.
2. If the torrent is smaller than 2 GB or equal you get 1:1 ratio after 48 hours ( 2 days ) of seed.
3. If the torrent is smaller than 3 GB or equal you get 1:1 ratio after 72 hours ( 3 days ) of seed.
4. If the torrent is not bigger than 4 GB included you get 1:1 ratio after 96 hours ( 4 days ) of seed.
5. If the torrent is bigger than 4 GB you get 1:1 ratio after 120 hours ( 5 days ) of seed.
6. If you download only a part of the torrent you will get 1:1 ratio as by the minimum seed time required.
7. If you make preseed ( download a torrent from another tracker and seeding it on iplay ) you won't get any bonus.
The new system was introduced just yesterday so it might take a while for members to get used to it and reap the benefits. Nevertheless, it appears to make life a lot easier for those struggling to maintain a healthy global ratio on site.

Coming back to open registrations, we do not know for how long signups will remain open. The site’s current max users limit is set to 50000 - if iPlay remains open till this cap is reached, that would mean there are around 12000 free slots remaining. However, chances are that registrations would close after a short period of time so get in while you can - its not everyday you have open signups on this great tracker.
