@lord: ohh those things behinf ur head are two extra arms? Still even with 4 arms it must one hell of a task working with these many rigs. :bleh:

Software: Triple Boot, Mac OS X Leopard [10.5.4], XCODE 2.5, XCODE 3.0, Mac OS X Tiger [10.4.11], XCODE 2.4.1, Win XP SP2, Visual Studio 2005 SP1, Visual Studio 2008 SP1,

In addition, I have access to two more rigs which are shared and not used by me on a daily basis. The specs for the same.

Dell Optiplex GX270! :O P4 @ 2.6Ghz. Earlier on 512Mb RAM, finally they gave me 1Gb. :rofl:, oh n a 40Gb HDD :eek:hyeah:

Doesnt matter for my work though, we do all of ours on multiple Unix servers. The Desktop is for telnet, TE and outlook :bleh:

I had to install Vista to get 2GB RAM and my machine still crawls. I need a GFX card for gawd sakes but who can tell that to the puny size pea heads who work in the Desktop Dept. (this is coming from a person who started his career in the desktop dept.) :tongue:

And the 80 GB at office makes me feel cramped. I need to empty my HDD every month :ashamed:

Got a new workstation for design related work - A Dell Precision T5400. Up and runnning since 2 days. :devil2:

NV Quadro FX4800
Windows XP 64 bit
Dell 2007FP :p

This PSU is a Delta OEM 875W - 18A on 5 12v rails. Got a couple of Delta fans as well - A Delta 150x50mm beast; thanx to the PWM control, this one keeps low during work but once the side panel is opened, screams! Another Delta AFB1212HHE for cooling the hard drives and a Delta 92mm for cooling the gfx.

Love my new workstation. :brevet:
 
as part of cost cutting, we've been digging out the old stuff from the closets. two newbies have joined, and they've been given seats on either side of me, and the fans from both those damned ancient prescotts are driving me wild :mad:

Well I'm not in an office but at the private institute I go to for learning 3d animation. They have (I havent checked exact configs)
