People looking for a powerbank, i suggest you keep checking the deals indexing website savemoneyindia / desidime as many a times there are threads about (deals on) such power banks, usually 5000 mAh types and all.
If going to buy from International websites, one option i would suggest is New Trent. I own one of their power banks and it works well for me.
But for some unknown reason it refuses to charge my iPad 2 using its 2.1A port which it should i suppose.
But i feel this is good quality product. Also keep an eye on deals from new trent as many a times they have like "Buy this and get that power bank free" type of deals. IIRC These deals are on amazon usually.

I bought an ambrane 5000mah power bank. Charges my mobile fast. Problem is that the power bank takes nearly 18 hours to fully charge again. Better to go for branded ones than the Chinese.

I just contacted the seller and he says it will take 24 hours to charge this from 0 to 100 percent charge.

Cheap chinese power banks have a common problem. It will provide regulated 5V for the first few 1000-1500 mAh only, after that output goes below 4.5V to as low as 4V which is bad. Also 20000 mAh is probably just on the paper, in real time it would be like 5000-8000 mAh. I say better go for brands like RAVpower, Anker etc which uses Samsung 18650 batteries. These should give 75%+ usability of the rated mAh. Efficiency is ~75% because these batteries are rated at 3.75V, so needs to be converted to 5V.

Brands like EasyAcc, New Trent are pretty good as well.

P.S. Mine is on the way. A friend is bringing.

am just back from a shop. saw there a power-bank from micromax (mmx440w). rated at 4400 mah capacity, with wifi-connectivity, and what-not. price was 2050/-.

The important thing is - I believe that is a WiFi 3G router which can also work as a power bank. IF you try to do both, the 4400mAh batter should be out in several hours.
