s.t.a.l.k.e.r.: Clear Sky (pc)
When S.T.A.L.K.E.R. was released and fell into our laps, they really wanted to fulfill most of the gamer’s orgasm- a huge non-linear adventure game in a persistent world, with no bugging (for us-redundant) loading times and unscripted NPCs and bots- something like us. When they told this in many interviews, it was too good to be true, infact, some also questioned the duration of the gameplay. However, in 2007, this game because a great commercial success even though it has taken GSC seven years of development, endless rounds of coffee and unaccountable number of concessions. In their opinion the game has some rough edges and they really want to polish it up.
To clear the doubts, this game is a prequel to the shadow of Chernobyl. Here players assume the role of hired mercenaries to kill sterlok. So obviously there will be completely new environments, but a new game style. There are 8 rival groups and they fight for money, technology, territory and…WOMEN (joking). Eventually you will be able to send one faction in battle with the other. Of course there are usual mutant busting antics. Just like the last game, expect randomness from NPCs.
This game is based on Direct x8 and will see awesome amount of graphics. Regarding the glitches in the game’s engines-according to GSC-consider them vanquished.
The end result, however, won’t be the same. I doubt it will appeal to most gamers around here, but if GSC can pull the right strings and zip their pants, we might see the best game for 2008.
[BREAK=Legendary: The Box]
Legendary: The Box
The game occurs when mythology meets reality. This is a first person shooter where you’re an art thief opens the Pandora’s box and therefore unleashing mythical animals-like the jumanji in mythical sense.
The character’s name is Charles Deckard and is hired to steal an antique set in New York museum. However, Pandora’s Box was opened and it turned out to be-the source of evil. Now imagine phoenix, dragons and what not in your world right now?? However, just like in the jumanji and all the weird things in the world, only the thief (your character) can drag demons in the bag!!!!
According to my sources, the game is based on New York and some small towns of England. Now just like all the villains in the world, you have negative view about the world but unfortunately have to save the world. The developers- spark- seems to be kicking off high with the environments and the cut scenes.
