I want to buy a 500 GB external hard disk drive in Pune. my budget is 3000 -3500. I am not very tech savvy but my bro in Bangalore tells me it comes for around 3000 there. Can anybody please tell me if it possible to get a good drive for this much money ?
 
IIRC the 500gigger internal costs that much. Dint know of any 500gigger for 3K. Please check again.
 
@pom99: are you looking at a 3.5 or 2.5 inch hdd?

in 3.5 you can get around 320Gigs seagate/WD etc

you ay also get a maxtor 500 around 3.5 - 4K.

in 2.5 I bought a 320 gig transcend for 4K yesterday.
