Price updates from Lamington Road (Mumbai)

Got the following quote from Primeabgb today.

1. Intel Core i7 3770 - 17.5k
2. Intel Core i7 3770K - 19.5k
3. Asus P8H77-V LE - 7.4k
4. Intel DH77KC - 7.2k
5. ASRock H77 Pro4 - 6.2k
6. Corsair Carbide 400R - 4.8k (he probably quoted Rs. 100 less accidentally)
7. Corsair GS800 - 6.35k
8. Corsair TX750 - 6.55k
9. Corsair TX850 - 7.7k
10. Zotac GT630 1GB DDR5 - 5k (he said this is a single slot card. This link says it is a dual slot one http://theitwares.com/index.php?route=product/product&path=1_68_22&product_id=1495 )
11. APC 1000VA Back UPS Pro - 7.2k

Following items were not available.
1. GSkill 16GB(8GBx2) Dual Channel Kit or any other (8GBx2) Dual Channel Kit
He'll probably get a Corsair one on Monday (22nd April)
2. APC 1100VA UPS
3. Corsair Carbide 500R
4. He said the V2 series of Corsair TX series has been discontinued (Can someone confirm this?)

ITWares store was closed. Not sure why.
While I was there, I learnt that shops might be closed from Monday (22nd April) due to the LBT issue.
So, prospective buyers please confirm if the shops are open before going there.

some naming mumbo jumbo . an excuse saying we abolished octroi.

these things are actually encouraging people to buy items without a bill.

i can happily buy a DVD writer if the difference is over 200 bucks .

There is no commonsensical difference that you or I would ever understand. All I know is that this is official loot & broad daylight robbery. They can keep on inventing new names for "taxes" ......... and you and I will bleed to death (VAT; Service Tax; Educational Cess; Landing Tax; Octroi) . Whenever the Government runs out of money they come up with some new tax.

I hope & pray that the traders all over Maharashtra achieve success in this strike (they say it's indefinite ??).
 
Octroi was collected at time of entry. LBT it seems may have to be paid after actual sale of goods.

Are they still called TX850V2/TX750V2 or are the new ones called TX850/TX750 ?

How do you tell the difference between the old TX850/TX750 and the new TX850/TX750 ?

The new one is called TX850/750.

1} The new one has ribs on the top in the fan area.
2}The new one has Corsair markings /branding on the left side of the PSU in tiny strip and not below the power connector as was in the old one.

Looks like the shops at LR are on a strike until Wednesday? Might be a good idea to postpone any online purchases until then.
