I am in a mood of shopping for my rig and so will visit lammy for that, but one thing i wanted to known is that can we have a discount or can we bargain to get some thing off on pricing @ PRIMEABGB ;)

Come on guys tell me and all newbies :P

why not, if you say " techenclave" rumour has it that they take you inside their secret room and show you all the awesome stuff that you only see in pictures and even give you lunch if you go around 1-2 pm

comments ????? on KIPPU comment :P

i have what sort of should we start like :

hello i am in a mood of buying xxxxxx bla bla & bla

can u show me the thing ????

then all the regular stuff

then the end comes and the sells man @ primeabgb say that this is for xxx Rs.

and i say come on give some off on the price ;)

but he will tell that the lest price we can offer and then i shall say that i am from TE ??????

is this the right way to introduce u'r self as a TE member ?????

or can we do some thing good ?????

i am a noob @ shopping :P

have shopped @ prime for 2 times before but failed to get even a single rupee off :(

Dont worry...Swapnil will say this is the best price... No more bargaining... :)

They know TE very well bro... So they wont let you bargain much as they have a limit set.

I've seen they don't reduce price much, they give about 100-200 off sometimes if you say that you're from TE, but that's about it. Usually dealers in Lamington Road, Prime included, operate on very thin margins and rely on volumes for profit so there's no much bargaining.

that's what i want to know that how much can we get off on thing ???? if we refer our self's as TE members ????

normally they wont give u a single rupee as i said :(

even a 100 - 200 rupees off can make a difference in some cases :D, specially in my case ;)

Yeah Swapnil is the guy. There was another chap by the name Ashok. He was extremely good and polite during phone conversations. Most of my PC components circa 2007 have been purchased from Prime. At that time, Meenal was around and she helped a lot. She's quit Prime now. With TE's reference, they should provide you decent prices.

bargain is always possible in retail.

but I have stopped doing that at prime for the quality of aftersales they have provided me.

infact I dont even mind paying a % or two extra sometimes than the market pricing for the sake of aftersales.

The margins are sometimes waferthin and they do provide you a good bargain when you buy something that they import/distribute so fine with me so far.

I have not dealt with Prime directly but from i have heard from TE Mumbai members is that they do charge premium as madnav has said but the A.S.S is also good . I so wanted to get Silverstone HTPC case in India but alas Prime being the distributor they do not have the model i wanted.

princeoo7,

I bought my i5 rig with help of Chirag & Swapnil, I NEVER talk with Swapnil but with Chirag only still I got good price, I left few other options which may save Rs.300-500 over all rig but I also consider After Sales Service by PrimeABGB as they have good track record of help if you need After Sales Service.

Swapnil knows me and always gives the best price he can give. Even then I ask him for a discount and poor guy reduces another 100 bucks. :P

^ Swapnil at times will provide discounts , at times not .Speaking in Marathi might help at times  . In earlier days I always preferred dealing with Meenal mam who later left Prime . Then it was Ashok who helped with the pricing . After a point I never had to ask for discount , just call up before reaching there and they would keep the product + bill ready by the time I would reach :).

Yeah..if you are getting anything from prime, then grab hold of swapnil. He actually remembers you the next time you visit. Also for discount, go to his counter and then ask for the discount, no matter u r from Te or Ed, he will surely give you 100 bucks off.
Since past 4yrs i never faced any issues with prime purchases and A.S.S.

Eg: of last month. We went to itwares, friend bought a cm 120mm fan for 500 bucks. I wanted to buy Soundmagic earphone, was quoted 550. Rahul dint reduce any price.

Came to prime, ask swapnil for soundmagic, he said 550 and i quote 450, he agreed instantly without a hitch-glitch. And i still confirmed the cm fan price and he was ready to give me for 375 bucks. My poor friend was like :@ :ashamed:
And the time i started shopping in prime, i never had to quote that m from Te or cnbc.
