Well, POP has been one of my favourites, loved the original game way back in 1990, and thereafter SOT and Warriors within.

As per IGN its more of a SOT prince, then the bloody rock frenzied warrior within prince. Though most of the reviews I have read have not liked the concept, I for one loved the rock themed dark prince, it had an artisic edge to him.

In any case hope the game is as good as the last one.

pop2 was the best game of 2004 imo.
And pop1 second best of 2003.

The earlier sot prince seemed better to me, felt more princely.
Although the setting in ww called for the new worn-out look, I didn't like him as much.

popww simply rocked with it's array of new moves and weapons i'm sure poptt will be as good as the last two........

Well POP:WW rocked, no doubt about it !

Kets hope POP:T2T is better :D

BTW, does anybody know who played the music for WW ? Especially the menu track :|

Godsmack rocks!!! Straight Out Of Line is one favs, and I Stand Alone Is Awesome too! It totally suited the dark theme of the new Prince...I didnt get to finish the game though,i played it on the PS2 and something was wrong with the disc :( so now im waiting for the PSP version :)

I wonder if Jordan Mechner ever thought that his humble yet innovative side scroller would one day become a multi-million dollar franchise, spawning a truck load of iterations, with the last two releases - The Sands of Time (SOT) and Warrior Within (WW) being the most popular of the lot. SOT was received extremely well by people all over because of it's fairy-tale like appearance. A proud yet likeable prince whose acrobatics would put the Cirque du Soleil performers to shame, excellent platforming interspersed with health doses of combat (which many felt was a bit weak, however I do not share those sentiments), and a story line which left a warm fuzzy feeling in your stomach.

The game surprisingly didn't do as well as the developers expected it to, and so developers Ubisoft decided to sprinkle it with tons of violence, carnage and a prince who calls women "b**ches" and decapitates enemies while listening to Godsmack. This game was geared solely towards the mature crowd, but felt sorely short of the standards set by its predecessor. Even though this game was marred by a crap load of backtracking and boring boss fights, it did however provide us with immensely gratifying combat, courtesy the "Free Form Combat System".

So now Ubisoft has two prince games, under their belt, both with their own strengths and weaknesses. Like most (greedy) developers today, Ubisoft decided to milk the franchise even further by introducing a new game that'll merge the platforming and enjoyable aspects of SOT, with the violent combat from WW. This is how Prince of Persia: The Two Thrones (TTT) was born. It's too early to decide the fate of this game, but as of now let's take a peek at TTT, Ubisoft's third and most probably final foray into Persia.

The story of TTT picks up from where WW left off, with you and Kaileena (the Empress of time) returning to Babylon (your kingdom) from the Island of Time. Instead of being given a prince's welcome.....

In POP WW all the soundtracks have are by Godsmack right? In the Garden tower, area, one will hear a soundtrack, can ne one tell me what song is that. there 2-3 tracks that i don know,, de song i mean. Straight Out Of Line, I Stand Alone, then???

only i stand alone and straight out of line are by godsmack in pop ww. the other soundtrack has been made by the game producers (not godsmack) , almost the same way some godknowswho dude made music in bloody roar 4 or tekken 5. the intro music you heard is called "welcome within" , yes thats right its a track and they even made a cd with the game soundtrack which you can buy for 23$ http://www.cdjapan.co.jp/detailview.html?KEY=KDSD-81 here. and if you search on amazon.com you could buy the same thing (not sure tho) for 41$.

OR....

you could go here http://www.3dactionplanet.com/poplegacy/SOT2music.shtml and download all the songs after getting a fileplanet membership.
