Hi guys. I have a Canon MP160 whose Color cartridge (CL-41) has got spoilt.

The original new one is about Rs. 1200/- in the market. There was no replacement from Amkette for this cartridge. When I asked my computer guy he said that CL-41 replacement cartridge is available from a company called New-Way (atleast thats the pronunciation) for Rs. 650/-.

Anyone ever heard of this company called New-Way (or similar). Is it worth it to buy a Rs. 650/- duplicate cartridge or get a Rs. 1200/- original one. I dont print many photos. Only use color for occasional business purposes and few photos of some products as business samples.

Also are duplicate cartridges typically only half of original's cost or shud they be lesser. I am a little wary that my computer guy might be taking me for a ride.
 
^^^ Cartridgeworld does not sell replacement cartridges. They only refill. And my old cartridge's head is completely spoilt. So no point. Moreover they said, refilling a CL-41 will cost about Rs. 650/-. They might have great quality but a street vendor does it for Rs. 200/- which is good enough for my purpose.

Also Canon India's website is selling original cartridges at even more expensive price than my local stationery store. So no point of that either.

Anyone have any other options? Has someone heard of this company called Newway/Newwave?

Why you care about Company Name, ask local stationery shop to give you Gurantee if cartridge (compatible) failed in between, I'm sure you will get NEW as Replacement. :)

why don't u use Prodot compatible cartridges. i am using them for long and they are good instead of spending too much money just on ink its useless.
 
^^^ I checked Prodot's site. They dont have CL-41 compatible cartridge.

I called up stick's link and the guy was giving me original CL-41 for 1260/- and replacement cartridge from "Dubaria" for Rs. 800/-. I guess by those standards by computer guy isn't really thugging me. Guess I'll buy the replacement cartridge from him for 650/-.

Which Make Replacement Cartridge you got for Rs.650/- & do the same brand have HP compatibles? :)
